I have created a course in Garmin Connect and then exported that to Plotaroute so that I could remove turn by turn instructions and add my own waypoints (aid stations). Then I manually copied that .fit file to my 6X Pro and have the course with distance to next waypoint as a datafield. All works great.
The question now is can I somehow get pacepro splits for this course?
I tried creating Pacepro on the watch but can only get even splits with very little account for the hills. It's a hilly ultra so the splits created are not realistic.
When using Garmin Connect I am able to adjust the hill effort and pacing strategy and get splits that match what I hope to achieve but I'm not sure how I can get these on to the watch? If use connect to sync then it will just add turn by turn instructions and ruin the waypoint datafield. Is there a manual way to copy the pacepro across? Or some extra settings on the watch somewhere tht let's you adjust the pacepro strategy?
If this is not possible, perhaps someone knows of a ConnectIQ app that lets you manually enter mile splits and shows how ahead/behind you are so far?
