Amazon and empty boxes

Word of warning. I ordered a fenix 6s Pro from Amazon for my wife and the box arrived without the watch. I'm now doing battle with Amazon with no luck.

Also, was talking with a friend about the fenix 6 and he said he was ordering through Amazon as they had the best deal....I warned him to do a unboxing video as my watch was missing... and guess what.... his fenix 6 Pro arrived today and is missing as well. BTW, he didn't do a un boxing video.

  • So word of warning with Amazon and Garmin!
  • My Fenix 6 was dispatched from and sold by Amazon and delivered last week by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

  • I ordered a loft of Fenix 6S through amazon EU. A lot because each one had a different problem (f.e. blueish screen) but I wanted a Fenix 6s so much, so I gave it a chance again and again and again. All included the watch, were new and had the transparent "sticker" seal on the box. All. All sent and SOLD through amazon. Never had a problem with any order not containing the bought device. I am sure it was Third Party seller, SENT by amazon Prime. Sometimes it is hard to see this. Only buy stuff SENT AND SOLD by amazon.

And when you return something sent through amazon they do the return for the seller. So no news that they contact you because of a return when sent by Prime. It has to say in your order confirmation SOLD BY AMAZON beyond the Link to the article in your account.

  • I bought from amazon once, the 5x plus; the watch I got was a used 5 with activities still logged.

It was no problem though, I sent it back for a refund with no questions asked.
Although probably a lot more manageable than saying it wasn't received at all. Best of luck!

  • The Fenix 6 Pro is currently £502.90 on Amazon.co.uk sold by Top Time. Is this not legit?

  • FWIW, this happened to me once for a Vivoactive 3 Music I purchased as a gift, received charging cable and manual but otherwise empty box (I still have the box using it as a monitor stand Slight smile ), I failed to notice it was a 3rd party fulfilled by Amazon, Amazon started "investigation," I waited a few days with no response from Amazon then did a charge back thru credit card, problem solved.  Amazon was irritated with me for not waiting until they concluded whatever "investigation" they were doing but I didn't have any other consequences.

  • There is no need to buy from dodgy Amazon 3rd party sellers who are based abroad. Blacks and Millets group are offering the Fenix 6S Pro for £499 on their websites. At least that way any warranty issues can be sorted by the retailer as a first point of call as per UK consumer law. I tried to cancel my Amazon order when I realised it was not sold by Amazon and phoned my credit card company but they said they have taken the money, even though their website and email says that they only charge the card when they despatch the goods. Now I see the same listing for the watch sold by Amazon, so I’m confused.

  • Same story with my wife's Fenix 5S approximately a year ago. She bought it from Amazon and they delivered an empty box. I called customer service immediately who were kind enough to refund us without any hesitation. They told us to keep the box, gave us our money back and they started an investigation. Amazon in AUSTRIA. No idea if the seller was Amazon or third party

My neighbour bought a 5 Plus online from a German shop, he got a sealed box with literally a used 1$ chinese analogue watch and some weights when he opened it. The shop was reluctant to refund him. He started tracking the weight, asked for video footage from the post and so on but no luck. What worked out he complained at the organization for protecting consumer rights and they forced the shop to refund him. He did get his money, but with a lot of delay though.

  • Found it. My wife's Fenix 5S was a warehouse deal

Amazon prime can be non amazon items. It needs to say shipped and sold by amazon to be amazon. Also find the weights. USPS should have weighed the item and have a record. It should match the stated weight. Empty box should not, or just tell amazon

  • Well, what a surprise, after almost 2 months of sending back the empty Fenix 6s pro to Amazon now i am charged again, they said i didn't send back the watch.

I have a send certificate from the post company ("Correos" in Spain), and they had too, so after chating with one guy at Amazon they told me the correct department is contacting me in 24h. I am expecting that they say "you send back an empty box..." !!
