No sleep detected Firmware 10.10 - Sleep Data Disappears from Widget or Does Not Appear in Garmin Connect

This seemed to be a problem in the earlier on device sleep beta versions but had not seen it in more than a week. Today sleep detection worked and showed, admittedly strange, sleep feedback (seems to say that 1.5 hours of REM is adequate while 3 hours the previous day is inadequate...??).

Went for a run and when I got back the sleep data had disappeared and in its place on the widget I have “No Sleep Data Recorded”.

Anyone else also still getting this occasionally after the device showing sleep in the morning?

Muchos problemas con los datos de sueño

  • One question: With 10.10 firmware version we have to go every morning in the widget and tell it that we have stopped sleeping? With the previous version it did it automatically...

What happens if you don't do that?

have you tried a restart, both for the watch and the phone?

you could manually edit the sleep hours from GC, worked for me.

  • I do not have the sleep widget. I can confirm that the way to force sleep data to display in GC is: after sleeping run a short activity, then sync. Sleep data shows for me after this. I discovered this work around by taking a hike the first day sleep data was missing (Tuesday, 7/14).

I delete the dummy activity after syncing and after the sleep data shows in GC.

  • Not exactly the same problem as reported here. But since 10.10 I often see a delay of 1-2 hours between falling asleep and the watch detecting my sleep. Also I woke up 6am this morning, checked the time on the Fenix and slept again until 7am. The Fenix recorded sleep until 6am only, I had similar problems with the early betas when Garmin changed to the Firstbeat software. For the later Betas und the RC version sleep detection was spot-on for me. Now the problems are back.

  • For almost 5 days now, the disappearing widget sleep data bug has not reoccured Slight smile

Sleep detection times are a bit of a hit and miss in terms of accuracy but hopefully they get better over new versions that will certainly come along

  • Same here on my new 6S Pro. Sleep data was there yesterday, but when I checked the widget today it shows no data. It is visible in the Connect app on my phone. Running 10.10 - 7.11.

  • Yes, worked for you. And what do you get ? Light sleep, a flat light blue light sleep, not a movement, not RE.M, nothing, if you stay up from bed and play basketball for a hour, and after edit it as sleep in G.C it would still give you the same.

  • Is there actually a feedback? Questions about serial numbers or sending in the folders?

Once again a new night with 1.20h awake.....but im sleeping and was up for 2 minutes at night.
