An app that shows data from watch on smartphone

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some app for Android that allows me to see real time data from watch on smartphone when exercising.

I need this for bicycling. I know I can put watch on bicycle handlebar but smartphone has 6" screen, and my 6x only 1.4", it's too small.

  • Also I would like to see on my smartphone  (in my Wahoo app) my heart rate from Fenix 6x - that is the biggest problem for me

Android phones have ant+ built in (most anyhow). Maybe just pair your HRM to the phone. If you are using the wrist heart rate there is a way to have the fenix broadcast heart rate

  • Your watch can broadcast heart rate from within the activity, so if you want the phone to pick that up it can.

But, I would not rely on wrist HR to be reliable when cycling. There is too much going on at the wrist, gripping bars, changing hand position, braking, gear changing and then jolts from rough road surfaces. IMHO you're better off with a chest strap or alternative location for HR and that can be picked up by both watch and phone.

I think It would be graet for now. At least this we can do.

Do you know how to pair Fenix6x to Wahoo? I only see option to pair some sensors to Fenix.

    Thank you guys!

  • Long press the up button to go into settings and scroll until you get to sensors. Scroll to wrist heart rate and select that. Then scroll to broadcast heart rate during activity and turn it on.

In the Wahoo app you need to add a new sensor. Pick the heart rate broadcast from the watch.

  • I'm in same situation as OP, contemplating a Garmin Edge solely for mirroring my cycling data to a screen easy to read while I ride. But this app should work perfectly!

Fenix 6 will be the MASTER, recording ride and physio data and syncing to GC. Smartphone app will be for VIEWING only while riding, linked via ANT to external HRM + SPD/CAD sensor on Bike. After the ride, discard the smartphone data, and analyze data from F6 if needed.

Great way to save $300+ on an edge.

  • that's probably the reason why it does not exist... they want us to bye an edge .

    1. It could be done in Garmin Connect. Polar has it in Polar Flow. It would be super useful for me as well.
  • Polar Beat does this LIVE. Polar Flow is the data/ synching platform

  • Garmin Connect Mobile also displays the HR and steps data live (at least during the day, I don't know if it displays them during workout as well)

  • Try whit Strava, the bluetooth sensors can be paired with more than one receptor. You register your activity in Garmin, but you can see it in yur phone in Satrava
