Is there any chance to reduce this wasted space that covers the most important part of the map?
This "smart" thing happend after a recent update (Fenix 6X Pro Solar).

I turned on 2 data fields. When I turned this ones off the problem disappeared. it looks likes a bug.
How is that a bug?
because the screen is half black for 2-4 seconds, you can't see the map anymore. When running I got the bleep and watch the screen. I want to see in the route but it's impossible, the black field covers…
Very annoying, only a notification sound would be enough.
What Routing-> Activity are you using? Try a different one.
Running, but I think now I know when it happens. In the map field I turned on 2 data fields. When I turned this ones off the problem disappeared. it looks likes a bug.

When I turn off the two data fields in map modus the black covering is about a third off the screen so I can see the map. For me there is no reason why to make the black covering larger with the two (in transparent layer) data fields.
If it's not a bug then it's a stupid design...
It's by design when having the split data field and it's definitely designed poorly and a waste of space on the screen. It would be much nicer if they could superimpose the direction arrows over the map.
Same problem...
It is really annoying.
design when having the split data field
Maybe a design left from 5-series, when the map data fields weren't transparent. Then the tbt notification only covered the data fields, never map (if I remember right).
But he mentioned, that it happend after a recent update (Fenix 6X Pro Solar). @4459490: are you shure, it occured first after a resent update?
