Navigation menu is laggy and crashes my watch (Fenix 6x pro)

Hi,

when using the navigation app, it freezes for around 10 seconds if I press back while searching for POI or other locations. Sometimes it even completely crashes the watch. How's everyone else's experience?

Similar. Many problems. Garmin should do some user perspective testing with navigation.

I had the same issue before. It will crash and reboot. It got fixed with the new software 6.0. works fine it will not crash. Yes with the topoactive map navigation takes a few second to load. I tried different maps and it works fine.

It didn't get fixed. I'm was on 6.10 when this happened.

Hmm. Have you tried a soft reset on your watch?. I had the same issues, What I also did I erased all the Img. files on the watch via a computer. I then connected my watch to garmin express and re-installed all the maps and now it works fine.

I contacted Garmin support yesterday about this. When in "walking" activity, I select Navigate, around me, restaurants and then it infinitely keeps searching. They were able to reproduce and get back to me.

Hi all, I solved my problem. I had problems looking up POI's. I have done a hard reset on my watch, deleted garmin express and all its files, reïnstalled it again and then I reïnstalled all maps via Garmin Express. I now believe the maps were the problem (corrupted files or something). Garmin Express caches these maps, so by deleting Garmin Express, it had to download the maps again.

Its still slow but that is probably normal behaviour. It does work again. Hope this is of use to someone here.
