I just bought a brand new Fenix 6 Sapphire and it is not possible to pair this thing with Garmin Connect. Neither with the App (Samsung S7 & Samsung S8) nor with Garmin Express. App says "Coupling failed" and Garmin Express on both PCs says that "the servers are not available".
All my other Garmin devices can sync and update so the servers should be available and reachable.
I already updated the watch with "WebUpdater" to the latest v5.0 firmware, did hard resets with deleting all data, rebooted PCs, Mobile Phone and Watch a hundet times each.
So I have no clue what the issue is. Do you have any ideas or solutions?
This is not the expreience I expected when handing over the money...
EDIT: Some details:
- App: During the connection process on the watch I need to enter the PIN, get asked if this is my preferred device, then the watch changes the text to the Garmin Logo and then the App says that the coupling failed and I can retry
- Express: The pc application finds the watch immediately, then I click on "add" and need to enter my Garmin Connect id and password. Afterwards I get asked if the watch is my preferred device (it does not matter if I click yes or no now). Then I get the message that the connection failed because the servers are down.
All my research failes - all connection issues seem to be 6 month ago and other issues sound more like syncing issues, but I have no add my device (maybe the root cause is the same though..).
