My new Fenix 6 Sapphire wont connect to any device

Hi!
Got my new Fenix 6 sapphire today but it wont connect to my phone or computer, also tested my girlfriends Iphone but no luck there either.
On my phone its starts to connecting with Garmin connect and I enter the 6-digit code but shortly after it fails.
I plugged it to my computer and though I maybe need to update the firmware but there is says the it cant connect to the servers.
I have restarted both my phone and garmin, factory reset my fenix, cleared cache on my samsung s10e and everything I found on Internet, it wont work.
Hope anyone can understand this English and could help.

  • yep, I reinstalled G Express + G Mobile app from all my devices, removed all my Garmin Edge computers ... and still nothing. Looks like I have some work to be done tomorrow ...

    Same problem in Germany.

    Got my 6 saphir yesterday.

    Firmware was 3.0 -> upgrade to 5.77 beta-> no

    Downgrade to 5.0 -> no.

    Garmin express -> no.

    3 different phones. android. IOS -> no

    2 different  computers -> no

    Really frustrating - but at least you have the same problems ...

    Should have done some sports, and not try to solve this problem for hours...

  • I fully understand your frustration.

    I wanted to do the same, just a quick setup and then go out for a test.

    At least I made it for a 4km walk ending 22:00 yesterday.

    It is a pity that no setup can be done with a simple text editor for bluetooth and wlan at least.

    +1 here. I have spent several hours trying to get it to work, which is really frustrating. At least I'm not the only one experiencing this!

    Same here. Tried everything. Even created a new account. "happy" to hear it's not just me and hope Garmin will fix the issue soon. 

  • I thought when you did a factory reset you needed to remove the device from phone etc and re-add as it removed the “setting” to pair watch and phone

    An update from Garmin would be nice.... this is a shocker.  Surely they must be working on a solution?

    This is a disgrace.  I'm having the same problem.  Surely they must be working on a solution - an update from Garmin would be nice...

    I am still searching web to find a solution, I think garmin staffs are at ski resorts

    Just received my new Fenix 6 Sapphire today and couldn't connect. Also went through the hassle of solving the issue for hours, restarting/resetting watch, phone, trying to connect via express, creating a new account etc. Very frustrating. At least now I know I'm not alone and don't need to invest any more time in finding a solution.
