Hello dear Garmin Forum.
I'd like to know which of you is currently thinking and has to choose between the Suunto 7 and Fenix 6 Pro?
I am really unsure.
I would be happy if a few users would post their pro & contra ideas.
Bye
Bernd

The Suunto 7 is comparable to Samsung Galaxy, Huawei GT and Apple Watch. You simply cannot compare an android smartwatch to a pro training tool as Fenix. The Fenix is comparable to Suunto 9. Not 7.
You're trying to compare Apples to Oranges. The F6 series is above and beyond pretty much every manufacturer right now with all the features that it comes with.
The Suunto 7 is incapable of pairing ANY external sensors - no Heart Rate Monitors, no temperature sensors, no STRYD-type devices, no fitness equipment like bikes/tradmills, no cadence sensors, no speed…
The Suunto 7 is incapable of pairing ANY external sensors - no Heart Rate Monitors, no temperature sensors, no STRYD-type devices, no fitness equipment like bikes/tradmills, no cadence sensors, no speed sensors, etc. How can this be considered as a serious fitness device? Not to mention the one day battery life...
Stupid idea from Suunto to castrate this device from every external sensor. Really can’t understand this decision.
I think it's because it isn't marketed to people who would ever bother using external sensors. The vast majority of people who only casually exercise really don't care if their watch does anything more than count their steps and display their social media feed, and would just be confused/annoyed by having too many features they'll never use, like external sensor capability.
About the ITMS:
It's obviously a scam but it exists and it is... well... a 1990's smart watch !! :-D
The Fenix 6 is highly inaccurate tracking heart rate when in high intensity exercise. Basically a random number generator. Go with the Suunto
50mm watch with less than 2 days of battery . Lol

I’ll go with the Suunto 7, only if I can get your Suunto employee discount
Garmin have 1:25k OS maps already. buy.garmin.com/.../614012
But if yiu go to compatible devices on thst page the only watch listed is the very old Epix there are no fenix watches shown
If you own the watch you don't have to take my word for it. Put it in hike or climb mode go exert yourself to the point of breathlessness and check your pulse. Compare it to the watch. Guaranteed to be off by 30-40 bpm. May not even register above 125bpm. Not sure if it's software or hardware but I suspect software. I have contacted Garmin about it and they are a bit meehhhh. Why wouldn't they though, they have my $850, it's too late to return it. It's great as a daily watch and reasonably accurate for just that. Forget about it as a sports watch to monitor you metrics though!
