Change data fields on map when navigating

When following a course during a run, the map screen shows only one data field with remaining distance. Is it possible to change it to f.e HR or pace? In the navigation setting I only found a setting to remove or show the data field, but not to change it (or show 2 instead of 1).

Is it possible that this feature was on the femix 5 series but not on the 6?(I had a 3 previously)

Thx for the help!

  • Yeah that worked great - thank you!

  • It doesn't work for me either, I do:

    1) see the list data screens, with a pen top right

    2) find the map and press top right pen

    3) in the list of actions choose data fields

    4) I have 3 default fields on my map: speed, distance and remaining, I select speed with top right

    5) cycle through list to find e.g. navigation/distance to next (waypoint)

    6) hit top right to select, map is now shown with dist next, distance, remaining (so far so good)

    7) for fun, I just use up and down to see if it stays the same, it does (I can only change 2 of the fields, distance remaining is permanently there)

    8) from here it doesn't matter what I do, it will always revert back to default fields: speed, distance and remaining. I.e. you basically only have one option: back, back, back.

My watch just recently updated and it did not help

  • Hey, I don't know if it's actual to you, I but I've found a workaround.

My logic was based on the thing that you can't change data fields due to memory/processing power limitations, so I started to disable everything, and look, if can I change this freaking DF.

SO, after one hour I found one!

Go to any activity, select "distance", use your track, then, go to  NAVIGATION SETTINGS, then DATA FIELDS, click MAP and DISABLE DATA FIELD. Then return to map, and find that lower bar disappeared, but your 1-2 fields are still present. Then ACTIVITY SETTINGS (Run settings for example), change fields to desired ones. That worked for me!

But, if you loved that lower bar with data... You can always turn it on - Nav Settings, enable data field - voila - everything at it's place!

    Have fun!

Proof pic - did this for another activity - pace and HR:

  • I figured out how to save it. I had the same problem (can't save data fields when using 2 data fields layout on map).
    1. change layout to map with only 1 data field. 2. change data field to desired data. 3. Change layout again to map with 2 data fields. 4. It now saved when changing second data.

I know it this an old question, but I got here now and the solutions did not work until I tried this. AFAIK it is a bug.
