Anyone using the bicycle mount for fenix 6 ? Is it safe to use the watch on the mount and not to damage the watch ?
I use a piece of pipe insulation on the handlebar, works fine. Of course it doesn't protect the watch but I doubt the original Garmin does either.
I place the insulation around the handlebar (just as if the handlebar was the pipe) and place the clock around the insulation just as if the insulation was my wrist. The insulation often has self adhesive tape on the inside which creates a solid mount around the handlebar.
The insulation is shock absorbing.
This is what I use on several bikes with zero issues.
I assume they do not have a second device, as an Edge or other non-Garmin brand. And, this case, during cycling you prefer to have the numbers in front of your eyes without having to raise your hand from the handlebar(which I consider it might be usually not so safe)
