How much battery % / hour fenix is using when is connected to a smartphone via bluetooth?
On F6 Battery full
21 days without BT 0,20% /h
14 days with BT 0,30% /h
-> 30% more consumption with BT.
Ha, it's a good question. Excluding battery drain during activities, my watch has regularly shown depletion rate around 0.5%/hr. I think the days projection is a steady state estimate, meaning at that…
i think wifi is off all the while besides anything to upload right?
You can of course. There is a shortcut on the "carrousel" (when the light button is long press).
This is what I do for saving battery. Also the new Power Modes car be used.
There is many ways to save battery.
The topic is how much BT is consuming.
Thanks. I understand you are only referring to the Garmin-provided projection now. Initially I did think you were stating that was the actual battery drain rate you were seeing. Regardless, the projection is still affected by other settings. For example, at 100% charge, simply changing my backlight brightness from 50% to 30% increases my battery projections by 1 day, from 13 days to 14 days. I am curious what kind of battery life people are actually seeing at specific watch settings not during activity (acknowledging notifications and other usage will impact this some), but I guess I will need to start a new thread for that. Thanks again. Enjoy.
My backlight is 20% and 8 seconds.
Yesterday evening I have charged it to 100%
Today with BT OFF during the night and ON during the day the battery is now at 88%.
13 days of projection.
12% in 24 hours is 0.5% by hours. It leads to 8 days not 13...
Is the projection completely false ?
Ha, it's a good question. Excluding battery drain during activities, my watch has regularly shown depletion rate around 0.5%/hr. I think the days projection is a steady state estimate, meaning at that point in time with no movement, notifications, etc going on, it could see 13 days. That's obviously not realistic as plenty of actions and notifications take place throughout the day. The watch doesn't collect data to account for usage trends to adjust its days projection.
My only self sanity check is comparing my Forerunner 645M to my Fenix 6. Doing the same level of activities throughout the week, same phone connected, I'd guess my F6Pro lasts twice as long as my 645M, which is in line with comparing their specs. I'd charge my Forerunner every 3-4 days. So far, been charging my F6Pro about every 7-8 days.
So we got the same battery draining on our F6 Pro. :-) 0.5% by hour.
Battery Saver mode now offers the ability to automatically enable Battery Saver during your sleep window. You can find this under Main Menu -> Power Manger -> Battery Saver -> During Sleep. When enabled, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. are disabled.
I can't find this option, is it in the beta version?
how to set the profile (like I need heart rate monitor, pulse ox) during sleep
i do not need bluetooth, wifi, and etc.....
thank you.
I just receive this function for fenix 6 asia version
In the "Power Manager" you can create a custom profile and program it to be triggered at sleeping hours. Very easy.
