AirPods Pro + F6

I’m considering buying AirPods Pro and notice it can only connect to one device at a time, which I believe is also the case for AirPods.

For those with AirPods or AirPods Pro and the F6, do you just manually disconnect them from your phone if you want to use them with the F6? If so, do you have to go into the Bluetooth menu and disconnect there or is there a quicker/easier way to do that?

  • Once you have paired the Airpods Pro with the Fenix, next time they will connect automatically, without doing anything with the Iphone. Works perfect!

  • I have the pros. If you have the connected to your phone and your watch, you will need to connect them each time you move to a new device. But you don't need to disconnect. They stay in the 'approved list' of devices on the phone and watch. When changing from the phone to watch you will need to click connect on the watch.

Same when going from watch to phone.

  • What’s the feedback on the Pros? Was thinking of picking them up this weekend. Would use them for the office and gym. Cheers

  • I would definitely consider the PowerBeats Pro over the AirPods Pro. I assume you are a runner? If so you will really want the dual volume rocker switches and start-stop / skip buttons on the PowerBeats Pro. Otherwise you will be fiddling with your watch when you are running, which isn't ideal.

I agree about the noise issue. I didn't notice it at first but now we are coming into winter it has become a lot more noticeable when I'm in a headwind as is quite a distraction.

  • I did have the Powerbeats Pro. I returned them as I found wind noise was too much when running and fitting them snugly was a fiddle. I have given up using headphones for running (owing to wind and needing to hear traffic) so will only use in the office and gym.

  • I had the PowerBeats Pros, I found the plastic "hinge" on the inside of my ear extremely uncomfortable to the point where it hurt pretty bad. The AirPods Pro sound as good as them but much less wind noise and much better fit. I use an Apple Watch to control pause, forward, back and volume with them.

  • Hi Gr4z.

I own AirPods 1 and AirPods 2 (Neither have any issues and are COMFORTABLE)

I have no idea why I did, but I got the AirPods Pro yesterday and tried them for a day.  I LOVE the noise cancelling, but HATE the fit.  I hate earbuds to start with, but these things are just weird.  Uncomfortable and make my ears itch.  Also you now get that "ear bud thump" as you are running.  I'm returning them.

For the AirPods 2, get the slip on ear thingies like this.  They are great for running and also running in the rain.  The AirPods never fall out and remain light as air.  Slight smile

  • Thanks for that. I assume you havw to take those ear things off every time you need to charge them in the case? I am after maximum laziness :) hench the Pros look appealing.

  • LOL, yes, I have to remove them, but they take all of a second to slide on.  There isn't anything to them.  They fit perfectly and just slide right over.

I would insert a picture, but I don't see the option to upload an image???

  • You do know you can bend those behind ear hocks. Out of the box the tips of the hooks are touching the main ear piece and yes they also gave me ear pain, but then I bent them out slightly to there is now a gap, and they feel incredibly comfortable now and work great with the Fenix 6. The base of the hocks are designed to be bent to accommodate difference ear shapes and sizes.

I'm thinking about trying the AirPods Pro but I will have to get used to controlling volume with the Fenix 6. Then again, I always find it awkward using the buttons on the PowerBeats Pro when I'm running along, especially if I'm running fast. Having to do the double tap on the ear while running at 6 minute per mile is quite challenging. At least with the watch controls all you have to do to skip a track is hold down the down button and press the start button. Changing the volume is a little more tricky, but I could probably get used to it.
