Here's a summary of all current software issues with Fenix 6 - anything I missed?

**EDIT** Seems there were many other issues that I have not discovered myself, instead of pasting them into this post just scroll down to read them... Also, some of these issues are probably related more to Garmin Connect on iOS (#3, #4 and #5 below), but as a Fenix owner using an iPhone 12, does it really matter where in the chain the issue lies? The "lost wallet" bug a few weeks ago was for example located in the cloud and was fixed in the Garmin back-end. As a watch owner I really don't care I just want it fixed.

As a software developer and owner of both Fenix 6X Pro and the Apple Watch 5, I have been literally SHOCKED by the number of issues with the Fenix 6 series the past few weeks.

Many of you does not seem to be aware of these issues at all. I am guessing most of you then only use this watch as a workout watch with your regular heart rate strap, skipping the "smartwatch" functionality. For the rest of us, who actually want to use some of their more advanced features, this entire situation where Garmin keeps quiet is getting absurd and worse every day.

We KNOW there are Garmin representatives reading these forums, just look at the sticky posts. But they provide nothing good at all in terms of feedback.

Here's a summary list of all software bugs I have experienced myself with the Fenix 6, with links to forum posts here with dozens of other users reporting the same issues.
Let me know if you find anything more. I did not list the display differences as an issue, since I am not really sure if it is an issue.

SOFTWARE ISSUES WITH FENIX 6:

1. Spotify, one of 8 music apps for Fenix 6, cannot update playlists - it crashes the entire device!

This one is very annoying for me, since I like to use music when I run.

2. Runcasts, one of 8 music apps for Fenix 6, shuts down permanently since Garmin won't fix the bugs he has reported(!)

User review: "If there were zero stars I would rate it a zero. This app overrides all my other music providers and is impossible to uninstall. Terrible."
Developer response (I have just kept the most important parts):
"Unfortunately both of these bugs are in Garmin's firmware and not something Runcasts can fix or even workaround. Garmin, to my great sadness, has not fixed the issue nor have they provided any kind of update."
"Speaking personally, these 1-star reviews matter a lot to me, and the fact that I can't wave a wand and fix this issue because the issue isn't with Runcasts is completely demoralizing. I'm not sure Apple Watch will do any better here, but I'm going to be spending my time there because it CANNOT be worse. I'm not killing the Garmin app, but I'm also not going to be spending much more time on it either. Sincerely, Rick Harris, Founder of Runcast"

Also very annoying for me, I like listening to podcasts on my slow runs...

3. Weather data no longer syncs to the watch after the latest GC update last week

Annoying, showing the outside weather data on the default Garmin watchfaces was very nice when it worked.
In the weather widget it has been stuck at "waiting for phone" over a week now.

4. Calendar has stopped syncing after the latest GC update last week

It syncs sometimes, but not everytime for me.

5. Again, after the latest GC update last week, activities no longer syncs to the watch, have to use WiFi

I always get a red exclamation mark in the app when an activity needs to sync, glad I have WiFi so I can sync using that. The rest of the sync is spotty on iOS.

6. The Running Dynamics Pod will not connect to the Fenix 6 Pro

Annoying as well.

As far as I know Garmin has just managed to fix ONE bug in this watch, and that is the one where the volume no longer could be increased, only lowered.
That bug was introduced in a firmware update, but fixed in 4.10.
