The blue washed out face is normal according to Garmin. Just be aware there are other watches out there that are the same price and same model as yours with high contrast non blue displays.
Luck of the…
I'm with Rob. Return it and get a new one. That's unacceptable.
Thank you for the eye opening comment. Sure, we know nothing about transflective displays and OLEDs and according to you we stupids have to understand that same type of displays can have different contrast when illuminated. Because that's what transflective displays do, right?
And then you want us all disbelievers and "relentless posters" to move on and not post anymore. Because what's the point of reasonably claim that something is faulty, right? You believe otherwise and that's enough reason for us to keep silent.
Besides, your arguments are quite solid; transflective displays are moody by definition. One may be blueish, another may be pinkish and when in really good mood some may even maintain their contrast. So simple guys. Garmin should do nothing about it, we should stop complaining and the the world tomorrow will be a better place.
Indeed, and if you still want to complain. One topic is more than enough
Hello everyone I want to update you that I’ve contacted garmin Poland and they said to me that my display doesn’t look like it should they wanted to exchange a device for me but I’ve decided to returned it to amazon and get my money back. Probably I will go for new Polar device.Coming back to box issue. Issue was created while printing the boxes. It made me think that I don’t want to keep this device because it’s too much that went wrong- screen box I wonder what else will come up? So in that case I’ve decided to stay safe and basically return it to amazon without hesitating. Maybe my view will help other people with similar problem as I already know what was wrong with mine one
I totally understand your decision....Garmin Greece found nothing wrong in the screen of my watch....Although they have never asked to see it...This inconsistency between Garmin across countries is something to worry about as well.
What screen brightness setting?
I don’t know sorry I sent the back already
In reality my 6xPS is looking much better as on the photo, I am really satisfied with my device, the contrast, the colors, the display looks great. It depends on the camara, light, in which angle you look at the display... Of course I could write about my “bad” display, now. But mine is good, but the photo didn’t show that...
