Hello everyone I want to update you that I’ve contacted garmin Poland and they said to me that my display doesn’t look like it should they wanted to exchange a device for me but I’ve decided to returned…
The blue washed out face is normal according to Garmin. Just be aware there are other watches out there that are the same price and same model as yours with high contrast non blue displays.
Luck of the…
I'm with Rob. Return it and get a new one. That's unacceptable.
I saw some other posts on here a few weeks ago and it seems it's just a misprint on the packaging and the website specs are the ones you should go from
We created other posts with the same issue as well, and all our comments were erased. All our posts providing evidence that the colors of the screen when backilighted are awful and definetely not as advertised. So I think that you understand how things work. I am really sad about all the things happening in here.
My screen is super crispy crystal clear and I wouldn't take it any other way. In fact all my previous Fenixes were very clear and this one is the best.
If it's washed out you seriously need to get another one!

Could you take a photo of your watch in dark environment with backlight on? Do you have 6X ? Thanks
Look guys, I feel bad for you that you haven't done the research regarding the aesthetics of transflective displays when backlit, and have made what you feel to be a regretful purchase. These aren't OLED displays and they're never going to have the same contrast or colour reproduction when illuminated in dark environments.
Garmin, Suunto and Polar produce products for athletes that excel in bright environments. There are trade-offs to this as you are discovering. most of us have fine with us trade off and don't complain endlessly on forums about poor low light performance because that is not the environment that we tend to use those devices in.
So my appeal to those who can't seem to let this go is to either return the watch and buy a product that's better suited to your specific requirements, or accept the trade off and use this phenomenal product for it's intended purpose.
Either way it's time to stop the relentless posts repeating the same old tired complaints over and over again as each thread is closed. We get youre unhappy. It's time to move on.
Garmin told me that my only choice would be to return it to them. They would credit me. And I could buy a new one.
They refused to even exchange it because they claim nothing is wrong with the blue screen. They are being very careful not to accept responsibility or acknowledge the problem. Even though my friend also has a Fenix 6 with a nice crisp screen and the difference is clear as day.
You can buy 5 of the Fenix 6 Pros all with the same SKUs and you could end up with 5 different backlights.
That’s not normal.
Regardless of how much you type this same exact response to people.
If Garmin could guarantee that I got a watch with deep contrast and real black like some of the ones I’ve seen posted here and on reddit I’d shut up about it.
