Hi, How accurate is the Open Water GPS with the Fenix 6 Pro? I will be coming from an Apple Watch so the bar is very high. Is anyone prepared to share a strava track for me to view?

A couple of weeks ago now, but some links below. The Fenix 6X Pro Solar was on my left wrist recording with the OWS app and Fenix 5+ inside my tow float recording using an 'Other' activity app.…
I have posted a number of swims with my F6 Pro Sapphire throughout this past southern summer that clearly show this not to be the case.
Philp, I am noticing a pattern with you as…
Mine's not working as a swim watch. It's a replacement for one that doesn't work. I'm going to ask for my money back if they can't fix it. It simply doesn't do what it says it should do.…

Para mi es casi perfecto
The track is comparable to the gps signal. So you have to be sure the watch isnt under water. Best for me is to wear it under my cap.
Check out DCRainmaker's review. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2019/08/garmin-fenix6-pro-solar-series-review.html He specifically covers open water swimming. In regards to the fenix 6X, he states "I don't think I've ever seen a GPS opernwater swim track as good as this before from *any* watch, ever. It's seriously impressive." As I recall, prior to this review he had stated that the Apple Watch 4 provided the best GPS open water swim track. Unfortunately, I don't have any open water swim tracks to share yet. The weather has turned cool, so I'll wait until next summer before jumping back in and testing if for myself.
In regards to wearing under your swimcap... Although I agree that this will give you the best track during swimming for any GPS watch, these watches are intended to give good tracks while being worn on the wrist during open water swimming. I've had great results with my fenix 5+ after they updated the software last summer. But admittedly it was a bit sketchy prior to the software update.

Sat 28 Sep: Fenix 6X PS https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4168488825 vs Fenix 5+ https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4105557560
Sun 29 Sep (bit slow as I was with a friend new to OWS): Fenix 6X PS https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4168460092 vs Fenix 5+ https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4168460044
There's one corner slightly cut on the 28 Sep swim on the 6X PS, but the rest of the 6X PS OWS tracking I can't fault
Best for me is to wear it under my cap.
Eeek, that would make me really nervous about my watch ending up at the bottom of a lake
Better than that maybe :-) First open water swim of the season this morning with an F6 on the left wrist, Marq on the right and a 945 (recording as a run) under a hat. You can see the F6 closely follows the 945 track but the Marq is doing its own thing. However, the Marq had the more realistic heart rate from the wrist with the F6 being higher most of the time. Granted at the end there was only 8 bpm average, however, it was sufficient to increase the amount of time reportedly spent anaerobic.
Do all devices have their latest firmware?
Also, this DCR review seems interesting, especially from GPS accuracy point of view:

Based on that it's possible that Garmin made some tuning on the GPS firmware and if that's the case the high end devices will also get it soon. Hopefully.
Yes, all on latest software and sensors.. Garmin have been tuning the GPS since the beginning. Clearly major inroads since the first reported OW swim with these watches. Needless to say, I have fed the Marq data back to Garmin.
And another...Strava OWS 8 Nov
Can't find fault with this around a small circuit. And as I hit the buoys pretty much head on I'd say the track and the distance is good. Heart rate not so good but that's because of the wetsuit. I had the watch much closer to my hand, probably just below the wrist bone, than normal.
