Connection Issues

Is anyone having issues keeping your watch connected to your phone? I have to restart my watch and or phone to keep them paired. I have the Fenix 6 Pro and Note10+. The phone shows the watch is connected to bluetooth but Garmin Connect won't pick up the watch as connected.

I have done the latest update on GC ( version 4.24.0.17 on ios yesterday ) and still the problem remained.

  • Count me as another. F6XS and iPhone XSMax on iOS 13. Have had this watch for 14 hours, and in that time it has been stably connected to GCM for maaaaybe 30 minutes total, and not longer than 5 minutes at a time. It appears as connected via Bluetooth but won't talk to GCM, just as others describe. It has been a lousy out-of-the-box experience. Pretty sure I'm not keeping it, if this is any indication of what I can expect as an owner.

Yup. Since recent watch and IOS update I keep getting sync error. Never had a more ‘buggy’ device!

  • My F6 Sapphire keeps diconnecting and trying to reconnect showing the screen with the numbers you normaly only see when connecting for the first time. This happens everytime that I turn the watch on in the morning and when I move away from the phone (Samsung S9). Sometimes it happens randomly even when the phone is in reach. Switching bluetooth off and one on the phone helps most of the time, but it's still really annoying. Already tried deleting watch from GC and pho ne and repairing several times, but the problem persists. Is anyone else having the issue with the numbers screen?

  • F6X Sapphire on 4.10 (Damn auto update).  IOS 13.1.2 on XS Max.  Have disconnected a couple times in a couple weeks of ownership (actually just stop getting notifications--watch is still showing connected to phone). Quick bluetooth toggle solves it for me.  Disconnects way less than my 5 and 5 plus did.  Also this thing has much greater range. Upon getting home to driveway from run with phone in back bedroom it connects.

  • Same for me with fenix 6 pro 4.2 and iOS 13.1.2 on iPhone XS Max

  • I’m having the issue too. Help us garmin! Was working great before and just the last few days it’s a complete mess.

  • Me too. Was working fine and now is a mess on iOS. Suddenly started a few days ago. Android works fine.  Help us Garmin!

Same story with Fenix 5x, Oreo 9 and OnePlus 6. Even if watches are reconnecting, I can't receive notifications on them.

Reinstallation of GMC are helping but only for several hours.
