As the title. I have no theme set. Happens regardless of the map I try and use. If I switch to ‘popularity’ then then the background is white as I’d expect. Anyone else seeing this?

Guys, here's the solution. Press and hold the light button until the unit turns off. Turn on and go to settings. time and synchronize time. The color of the map should be white again.
Jesus christ people... I get it, there are people from all over the world on this forum... but when a thread is entirely made of english-speaking posts, why would you write a post in some different language…
Doing the suggested reset seems to have worked. I’ll flag this as an answer although don’t really think it’s a good one as we shouldn’t have to do factory resets of the watch!
I…
I’ve emailed Garmin support, so far not been able to convey the issue to them, but will let you guys know how that moves forwards.
Me.estaba volviendo loco. Pues no puede ser que esto ocurra. Hice otro
Espero ayudar. Pues me volvió loco dándole
ueltas a los mapas. Pero hoy en día estoy muy contento. El mejor reloj de mo vida sin duda. Aunque no debería pasar estas cosas.
Jesus christ people... I get it, there are people from all over the world on this forum... but when a thread is entirely made of english-speaking posts, why would you write a post in some different language? it makes everyone else have to translate it for you because you couldn't be bothered to do it yourself. I realize not everyone knows english, and that's fine... but everyone knows Google. I don't speak a word of spanish but I can at least translate it to english with the magic of Google.
Here.... I'll save everyone the effort.
"Hello everyone. The same thing happened to me several times. It solved it with a partial restoration, but a day or two days it reappeared. By connecting my Fenix 6xpro to the PC, Garmin Express d all updates to all maps. Which I did, I turned off the clock, turned it on and still had the same problem. It was driving me crazy. Well, it can't be that this happens. I did another partial establishment after updating the maps with garmin express. And surprise, the clock was on for about half an hour because it was updating all the cartography. When he started. The maps were fine. Oleeeeeeeeeeeeee. At last. I've been about 10 days later and I'm still with the maps well. Until now. This solved the problem. I hope to help. Well, it drove me crazy by flipping the maps. But today I am very happy. The best watch of life without a doubt. Although these things should not happen."
Basically what it's showing is the equivalent of the "Dark" theme. Once I get into this mode, there is no getting out short of a full reset. power cycling etc has no impact. You can always change your Map Theme to one of the others. But if you want to get back to the default, it's a full reset.
Note that there are global settings and per activity settings. In the per activity Map Theme settings, you can select System - which uses the global one - or select one specific for that activity. So the first thing to do is make sure the global settings aren't set to "Dark".
I've been noticing this since just after the watch was released. Hopefully there are enough of us seeing it that they'll get a fix soon.

Did you time sync with phone or gps? Doing this with phone time sync didn’t fix it for me :(
synchronize the time in the fenix
So Garmin support suggestion is to do a factory reset. I’m concerned that means I’ll lose all my saved data on the watch. Does anyone have a link to how to restore that (run records, VO2 max, run history etc)?
This worked for me. Thanks.
Those data should be saved on your Garmin Connect app if I´m not wrong.
