6X not connecting to Wi-fi

I am new to Fenix ownership and loving the watch do far. My only issue is I can not get it to join my home (BT) Wi-fi!

i have tried via Connect, Express and on watch itself. I have tried setting my iPhone as a hotspot and it won’t connect to that either! All I get is ‘Connection failed’.

its a shame as I want to download Spotify playlists and this can only be done via Wi-fi.

Does anyone else struggle?

Yeah, I am having issues. I am coming from a fenix 5 that connected to my wifi flawlessly.

Here is my set-up:

Apple airport express
- 2.4Ghz (802.11/n)
- Automatic Channel

The issue appears to be that Fenix does not properly support WPA2 protocol. If you switch to another WiFi that does not use this (almost all do these days) you will get a sync. I solved this by creating…

The reason I ask is because by default it has an annoying landing page that gets shown when any new device connects to your WiFi. Kind of a welcome page that has details…

What firmware are you on? Latest public release addressed wifi issues.

Version 6.0. I’ve deleted my network and reinstalled it and progress is being made with my Spotify now syncing but it’s stuck at 98% and appears to have stopped there and frozen the watch.

Fenix 6X Pro, firmware 6.10. I have the same wifi problem as most people here. Connecting to multiple types of wifi devices. It's sad.

This worked for me as I was having the same 0105 error, wasted an hour of trying to reconnect and retype passwords on my phone, watch, garmin connect, express....FRUSTRATING! I could have run 8 miles with the time wasted. Once I made my phone a hotspot, this worked to transfer songs, although it did use some of my phone data.

Under Settings on the watch you'll find WiFi. Are you referring to a router?

Just got off the phone with Garmin today with same issue stemming from trying to synch my Spotify play list (requires WIFI)

Symptom: Can't synch spotify on watch bc 'no wifi connection found', although it was working for months (i didn't make any changes to my wifi settings). Tried adding/removing WIFI networks - can't find WIFI nor see other networks.. I also tried WIFI Synch on watch and 'no networks found'

The Garmin agent asked me to reboot the watch (hold top left button down to perform a hard reset). WIFI Synch on watch still didn't work, so i removed all wifi networks and added mine back. WIFI was able to synch! BUT, when I tried to synch spotify, i get the no wifi networks found error again, and back to square one..

I then went into Garmin Connect and in the settings there is a setting (under 'General') for WIFI. Went in there and saw my wifi network. There is an option to test network, so i did and it was successful. Went back to watch to synch spotify and what do ya know? It worked..

All in all, something flakey is going on. I hope this helps others out there..

This is my first Garmin and I have a Fenix 6x Saphire Pro. Same issue when trying to connect to wifi to download playlists. I have tried all the steps mentioned and nothing is working. Super frustrating. I like the watch but for $800 I did expect more regarding the ability to pair to apps. If I can't get this to work I will go back to a different watch brand.
