Fenix 6s Pro or Fenix 6 Pro? I am undecided

Hello,

I visited two times the official Garmin physical store in Barcelona to see the new Garmin Fenix 6 series.

I have a small wrist and I like the design of the 6S and its reduced weight. But for the same price I can buy the regular version 6 with the slightly larger screen and more battery, but don't convince me the size and weight.

I have a Garmin Instinct and I am happy with the battery. The Garmin 6S has less battery life for the day than the instinct, 9 days for 6s compared to 15 days of the instinct, but more for activities, 25h for 6S compared to 15h of the instinct. How is it possible? I am also worried about how much that batteria life will be reduced using maps.

I'm very undecided, what do you think?

Does the Instinct have the Sony GPS? Supposedly that one is more energy efficient. If you have an Instinct, and you like the size, go for the one that is about the same size as your Instinct.

Go for 6S Pro. You won't regret it.

Instinct got a low consumption screen that's the only reason of longer stamina in ABC watch mode.

I will surely buy the 6S, I really like the lightness of the instinct and the 1.2 "screen will be enough. I also like the 6S design much more. I am waiting to be able to test the two models without annoying alarms.

I try both (and the Forerunner 945) and finally went for the 6S, because it is more adapted to my wrist and the 9 days is good enough for me.

If you look to the functionality the 6 and 6S are the same, and for my running training, the lighter 6S won it.

As far as I know Garmin don’t do longer 20mm QR straps...

In the end I bought the regular 6 Pro. I can try it on a retailer and it's not as big as I imagined. I think it's worth it for the extra screen and extra battery.

Tomorrow I get the shipment. If I don't like it, I can return it in the first 30 days and go for 6S.
