Both with GPS or paired phone sync, the time is off by 7 seconds on my fenix 6!
Do others have the same issue?

Yes, something is going on, but I don't know exactly what. This morning, as is my habit, I casually compared the displayed time on my 6X Pro with my time reference and saw the same thing you did -…
Sync using GPS does not correct displayed time.
Again this morning, my fenix 6X Pro was displaying time about 10 seconds slow. To correct this, I tried the following:
1. Sync with Garmin Connect Mobile…
I believe you. Just wish mine and many others would also.
I am in central europe. Sync by gcm is 13 seconds behind for me. Phone is synced with time server correct, but no correct sync with phone. What was your sync method at this video ? GPS fix ?
Bought Fenix 6x pro a week ago here in Australia. It's off by 5 seconds, no matter if I sync with phone or GPS. Not acceptable from a $1199 watch.
Why do you care about 5s?
The Fenix 6 is the first connected and or GPS watch I have owned which does not sync with the phone and or GPS.
The Instinct which does cost 1/3 of the Fenix price can do it, so maybe Garmin could implement the feature in the Fenix 6.
I agree that 5 second is not a big deal.
But if such a basic bug is not fixed after 3 or 4 firmware upgrades, what confidence could we have on HR, sleep, Stress, barometer, temperature etc accuracy???
Another minor item is SunRIse SunSet times which are not those of today but of yesterday. Not a big deal again but it should not be too difficult to fix? no?
I wonder if Garmin Outdoor really belongs to the same company as Garmin Aviation....
10 seconds for me. As aviation take off time has to be correct, this watch is not usable.
I just checked mine to see if it was synced. The time is off by 3 seconds. Explains why today I woke up 3 seconds late, and was 3 seconds late for work and got fired and wife left me and took the kids.
that never had been happend with a 10 dollar watch
Agree. My Instinct syncs perfectly with GPS/phone even my G-Shock square that has Bluetooth syncs perfectly with phone. 5 seconds don't matter but main thing is that the watch is not doing what it is supposed to do and that is sync time accurately from two sources.
You may want to check out the new 4.63 Beta release. Although not mentioned in the Change Notes, it appears that Time Sync With GPS has been fixed. After sync, I am now well within 1 sec of reference time.
New software in the 4.63 Beta release for the 6X Pro models includes:
Software Version: 4.63
GPS: 2.60
WHR: 20.04.50
Sensor Hub: 3.01
I hope others experience the same positive change with the GPS time sync.
