Update September 25, 2024:
Our engineers have discovered a concern with incident detection remaining active, after ending an activity recording. They have released a BETA software fix, version 18.15 that…
Hello,
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with rapid battery drain since installing Software version 18.14. Our engineers would like to investigate this concern further. Since this researching this…
I do understand the concern with battery drain. And this is something that Garmin is concerned with addressing as well. It is not a question of how many people are reporting this, but since it doesn't…

Quite simply: Garmin has not created a ticket. Obviously…
I am now experiencing battery drain for the first time after latest update
Yes, i don't know how many people have this drain, but in changelog of 18.15, Garmin know it and have found some root causes of battery drain.
But if you search in the forum there are many new thread about this problem also in 18.15.
I haven't updated to the new beta firmware
I went into an activity and selected the menu button to show incident detection. Despite NEVER turning this on, incident detection was enabled for every activity!? Even though it wasn't setup on phone
I turned it off on all activities and did a reset. I then charged for 3 hours to make totally sure watch was charged. Then did a run. My battery life now appears to be back to normal (early days)
My suspicion is that 18.14 turned on incident detection by default on everyone's watches.
I've now disabled automatic updates. If my issue fixed, I'll just keep the watch as is
Same on my watch: I never switched incident detection on, but it was. Now all switched off and will see what it does ...
Update. Shortly after my post did a hard reset and it is currently showing 8 days. I have been sick, so haven't done a workout since...but the hard reset worked at least temporarily....
Which model and size? AOD on or off? Without at least that information it's not comparable.
Epic gen 2. AOD off...
Garmin-Laurie any news on this issues still on going ??
Are you still having the issue?
waiting for the official update 18.15 or .16
That's seems quite bad to me. I get abot 14 days of battery life with AOD off, Epix Pro 47mm, but on version 17.28.
Or do you own the 42mm variant?
