18.07 alpha firmware????.

For a reason I cannot see anywhere on the web. My watch has got 18.07 and it's an alpha build according to the watch. I wasn't signed up to the beta either so even more mysterious since alpha enrollment isn't a thing any more. Anyone got any ideas what's happened?

    Great!  Four pages into another rambling collection of complaints and we still have no evidence this 18.07 Alpha software even exists!

    Come on, , respond with some evidence or we are left to assume you are simply trolling.

    Thanks for your concern. I do not swim, just walk/hike/run/bike.

    I actually just walked a 9km round trip to a return a multi-lead ECG machine after 24 hour monitoring. Obviously results are yet to follow.

    But here's some sample ECG output from my Fourth Frontier X2 chest strap, recorded during the walk. Just two tiny blips of abnormal rhythm identified during the activity. One of the blips is highlighted here.

    As for my health, it's improving quite nicely, purely through healthier eating and increasing exercise. No meds required. Grin

    What difference does it make whether he got it or not?

    If he did, it was likely a fluke.

    If it's an alfa release, it's certainly not ready for general public release or even beta so we won't get it anyway.

    I don't get why it matters so much to people whether this person has or hasn't got a 18.07 release.

    The world's not going to stop turning, is it?

    Exactly, 18.07 Alpha Firmware...it's legitimate based on the headline to ask if one notices a fix Garmin is apparently working on for the HR tracking bug that was introduced.

    Beta phase for 17.xx is not finished, but we all know that, so no info about 18.xx

    fix for DSW should be here with 17.26b for non-pro devices, but not sure of that if we can remember a recent past

    But if "18.07 Alpha Firmware" never existed, is just the product of some troll's imagination, then what can possibly be gained by filling pages with query/conjecture about what, if anything, it may or may not contain?

    I would remind you that the only indication we have that this software/firmware even exists is the statement in the OP - which has never been verified, even by the member who posted the OP.

    I think the OP just spun us up to see where we would go...

    Possibly, I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a new Garmin watch, so it got my attention as I'm very curious about 1. Them fixing the WHR/Music playing/etc... bug, and 2. The release of potentially a Fenix 8/Epix 3/Forerunner 975 with Venu 3 features
