GPS accuracy is really bad.

Another run in auto select mode. This is not cherry picking, both pictures from the same run where 80% of the track is off the sidewalks and lanes I have used. One bit shown in the picture is where I ran there and back on the same side walk so E3 can't even be consistent with itself...

I also hike a lot in the mointains and this margin of error is dangerous!!!

  • Well in the unlikely case that this is true, it can't be Garmin's fault but rather a GPS outage!

Or do you believe that a couple of Garmin watches selectively disconnect themselves from GPS ... Face palm tone2

Here's a tip: perform a factory reset and use it with the default GPS settings - 99.99% sure that everything will be working as advertised.

  • Hello.

With « multiband and all satellites » the Enduro 3 cannot connect any GPS on 4th of Feb 2025 in the evening Paris France. With « automatic selection » it works after about 30s. There is fog this evening, Anyhow I think there is an issue with the « multi and and all satellites » option.

  • If you want the best way to see what is tracked with no smoothing, I've found komoot (web not app) when zoomed in shows you exactly whats recorded with minimal smoothing

  • Bear in mind, as I said before, Connect smoothes it terribly. Be wary of using Connect to compare. Try Komoot

  • Salut, étrange ça hier et aujourd'*** tout a bien fonctionné, du côté de Massy.

I saw report on F8 forum about the same issue. Relevant only to the new GNSS chipset inside F8 Series ???

And the same guys said it was ok today

  • none of them can explain a systematic offset to one side relative to direction of running.

Did you ever answer which wrist you are wearing your E3 on? I frequently run with multiple watches. All the Garmins I've ever worn offset a meter or two to the side the watch is on. I also frequently run hill repeats. If I run straight up and down on the exact path, the Garmins will be offset one way on the way down and the other on the way up.

Your stone circle example seems to represent this. Have you tried running around it in the opposite direction? Or swapping wrists with your other watches?
