Getting my course handicap before I play

You have not addressed the post at all. How can get my course handicap before I play a round at a course?

Would be nice to see at least the slope/rating used by Garmin.
Without this info, it is difficult to make sure there's a mistake, and to follow up on the inquiry.

And with this info, the OP (Country Gentleman) could calculate its course handicap

I did contact support with a request to check/update my home course slope rating (see this thread) but never get a confirmation that it was done

So again, would be nice to have the slope/rating info properly displayed for confirmation.

Garmin does offer a way to reference the slope rating for courses through the Garmin Golf app.

In the Garmin Golf app tap the Start Round box on the opening screen > Download a course > After selecting the course, the tee box selection will appear and displays the slope rating for each tee box option. 

Hi, thaks for that ... never seen ... does this info take into account the gender of the registered user?

P.S. i've checked it with my home course, but it does not match, second, if I play only 9 holes, it makes a difference between the first and the second round ...

It may be a nice idea, but I do not use it, I can not edit it ...I use only my plying handicap and the stroke index and that I can get actual for every course I play via www. And when I play a qualifying round, I have to use the paper card ...

In the Golf Settings section of your epix and same setting for the Approach S70, select the Scoring option from the list > Then tap the Handicap scoring feature to enable either a local handicap, or you can select the Stroke/Index option and the scorecard will reflect accordingly vs the Garmin Golf Handicap.

My apologies, it was not my intention to delay a response to you. 

There is no option to view the handicap for a specific course in the Garmin Golf app. The average score is displayed...however, there is no singular handicap calculation referenceable for individual courses. 

If this feature is desired, I can certainly forward your feedback for Garmin to review and consider in future updates or improvements to the Garmin Golf app. I just need some additional context and details regarding the option you mentioned and then I would be happy to forward this through your account for further review.

If the slope values for a course are showing different than the official site for the course...then a course report through the web form is needed so the map team can review and make any changes necessary.

The values are provided from the USGA values made available on the golf course's official website...however if the rating or any other course info changes...we rely on reports and other sources to get the information updated in our system.
