Beta 16.10 added this:
"Added the ability to double-tap the screen in golf green view to mark your current position as the hole location, if you are standing on the green."
Anyone try this yet?

Yeah sorry my bad. I meant to post this in the Epix forum. Anyway, something to look forward to for S70 owners assuming it’s part of the eventual S70 update.
Would be good to have a You Tube on using the S70 to its full capabilities
Would be a good Garmin Marketing tool as well
Is there any new information or instructions on how to use this new putt marking location feature? If I use this feature to mark the location of my first putt, will this now allow for accurate distance measurements of my approach shot in to the green? In the past, I have been manually adding a shot (putt) every time I wanted to do this. Hopefully this is easier and more reliable?

I have. It works well and is great if you are analysising your putting.
Are there any plans on making this feature available for other devices? I have a Fenix 6X Pro Sapphire and would like to be able to use this.
There are no announcements regarding other models receiving an update for putt location marking feature at this time, however we will be sure to notify if any new announcements become available.
The putt location marking feature requires a touchscreen with how that feature works on other devices offering compatibility with the feature, and the fenix 6 series does not feature a touchscreen to allow the current design of the feature to work with those types of watches.
Hi there
I've recently purchased a Fenix 8 and this feature doesn't appear to be operational. Is this solely for the S70?
Thanks
Steve

I have accidentally triggered the putt-marking feature a couple of times, and I'd like to use it more if I could just figure out what I did, but I don't see any official documentation about how to do that. Evidently you need to double-tap the current location once in green view, which is now automatic on the S70. That's nice! I understand the comment above that you probably want to reposition the flag as soon as you get into green view, even before you get on the green. I sometimes walk to the flag as I pace off the ball so I can mark the flag in the right place. As someone previously noted, the ball locations should show up in the Garmin Golf app when you review the round later - if they don't, then please add this feature!
I just made a feature request to show the (x, y) coordinate of the current location, and to have this be the same coordinates used by greens-book publishers like Putt-View or Stracka Line. That would increase my confidence that I'm interpreting my location accurately.... because a couple of feet this way or that can matter near the hole.
So I have the S70 and the CT10 sensors; does any of this apply to someone like me using both? And if not, then what exactly must I do to mark the pin location? Just curious because I just migrated from Arccos where this was much simpler.
