New R10 is Not Reading at All (New System Software Available - See Update)

I just received my R10 and it will not register any shots.  I used Garmin Express to make sure it was updated. I deleted the Garmin app on my IOS device and reinstalled it.  My setup is just as it is suppose to be according to the instructions.  It still will not register a shot.

I installed the E6 software and tried a practice session there.  It connects and says “ready”.  Once I hit it says “calculating”.  It then says “Error! Check if device is connected”. Then it connects again and says “Ready”.

I have contacted support and they are looking into it.

Does anyone have a similar issue or a suggestion?

Thanks

  • Same boat for me.  Seems to be the 6pno SN batch imo. Only registers a shot if I start at the top of my backswing and even then it’s a maybe.. pretty disappointed not to be able to use it during the down time….  Not sure how any software updates will fix it being as it seems to be a certain lot of SNs…. Really disappointed    I’ll be going with a different product

  • I'm in the same position. Seems to be a product issue. Would be great if someone from Garmin could update everyone on what's happening.

  • Having exactly the same issue.  Contacted Garmin support and awaiting a reply.

  • Same here. Tried it on the range, in the garage and in the garden. Different balls etc. Latest version via Garmin express loaded. Resetet the app various times. How can they release a product like that ????!!!! Shame to receive something like that after such a long waiting time … returning it most likely

  • I am having the same issue. I have confirmed it is updated, charged and connected. When a swing is made the LED goes to a solid green then proceeds to a blinking blue and then blinking white.

  • I'm experiencing this exact behavior with my device using a Samsung Note 20.

  • same here 6pn12 unit. will only read a shot if you make your back extremely slow (not triggering the solid yellow light) no backswing will also allow a shot to register

  • Same, sure is forcing me to work on my take back while we wait for the patch

  • Ordered mine on the 21st of August. Arrived on the 17th of December. I almost canceled the order due to the delay and also the reports I had been reading on this forum regarding lack of accuracy during indoor use. I thought I'd stick with it as after 4 months waiting Garmin would have fixed the teething problems. Very disappointed today when I set it up and out of around 60 shots it hasn't recorded a single one. I have tried the suggestions on this forum and also updated the software but still no luck. Seems like Garmin have known about this for more than 10 days now bit still no fix. If this is their idea of a priority fix then what hope do we have.
