New R10 is Not Reading at All (New System Software Available - See Update)

I just received my R10 and it will not register any shots.  I used Garmin Express to make sure it was updated. I deleted the Garmin app on my IOS device and reinstalled it.  My setup is just as it is suppose to be according to the instructions.  It still will not register a shot. 

I installed the E6 software and tried a practice session there.  It connects and says “ready”.  Once I hit it says “calculating”.  It then says “Error! Check if device is connected”. Then it connects again and says “Ready”. 

I have contacted support and they are looking into it.  

Does anyone have a similar issue or a suggestion?

    I asked customer service for a year of free E6 or some other compensation for this problem to make me a little less upset and they said they do not have any authority for E6. I told them I will start leaving terrible reviews everywhere explaining how much I am upset with this ridiculous problem 

  • Went thru the exact same steps with the same result.

    It pairs, when I go into any Sim app asks to "wake up" device and the light starts flashing green, but it wont record shots and immediately after the shot goes into stand by. 

    Called Garmin support (Aus) who said they would email me their internal fix process. Turned out to be how to place the R10 6ft_ away from the mat. Completely useless.

    Updated to the new version of software via the PC. No success.

    Ordered this in Aug, arrived last week and does nothing..... Needs a major software update.

  • Exactly the same issue. Wanted to get the most out of it over the Christmas break. Tempted to just get a refund now 

  • So far I did not see anyone from Garmin replied this issue on this forum. I suggest all unsatisfied customer who face this issue leave the proper comments on Garmin's instagram page to address on this issue.
    Hundreds of customers bought these batches of products need the clarification or compensation from Garmin,I dont't think Garmin team found this is the critical issue which is damaging their brand. I have left the comments in Garmin & Garmin AU insta page, however no one responded.

  • Serial number starts with 6PP

  • You can call 1800-235-822 to complain, however AU local team can not do anything all is pending from USA tech team what they said.

    They did not have a time frame for the software fix yesterday. I have not returned mine as it took months to get and the guy I talked to yesterday said it is just a software issue, but I’m not going to keep this paper weight too long. I’ll return it and buy a different manufacturer. 

  • No, they did not mention the timeframe. I don't think it is worth to return at this moment, hope they could fix the firmware issue soon.
