I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
Try swapping between yards and metres and back. I found a bit of a floor in distances when I moved from one to the other.
Please elaborate on this. Thanks!
Well not much more to it,. I was in-game, started on yards. Switched over to metres. But the distances didn't come down. I was hitting my 7iron 192m which I rarely do. I am on a firm shot around 170m topping out. If I try to smash I I can get a bit further. But 192m is extreme. Now assume you take away the 10% for metres from yards. then the numbers stack up. I changed the setting out o the game to metres and all the shots came back to normal distances.
I am unable to attach images here. Seems to be disabled for me ….
My indoor and Outdoor comparisons. Longer shots are outdoors of course. Driver and 7i. Ball speed is in kmph.
Is there any kind of update for the indoor issues we are all having? I assume most of us purchased this for indoor practice. Can someone from Garmin please give us an update?
Thanks!
Hi Ravi, yes, your spin numbers are different indoors vs outdoors but the huge deviation is the club head speed and this is where you're losing distance: on 7i it is 117 compared to 143 km/h - that's a huge difference. If not indoor swing syndrome then the device is not measuring your clubhead speed properly indoors. Maybe you should check your clubhead speed on the driver as it's not shown in the screenshots.
BTW, I have the same issue. Huge loss of distance when using indoors. I know my local course well enough and when I play Home Tee Hero I'm hitting for example a 5i for my second shot instead of a PW...
Garmin says its 'indoor swing' fear since their ball speed measurements are accurate as per them. Unless I can put Trackman (or skytrack) and R10 side by side indoors there is no way to disprove the indoor swing theory that Garmin seems to be stuck on...
Mine has sat in its case for nearly a month now. Wish I didn't have to be this way, Garmin's lack of support and updates on this product is shameful. Having us beta test a product that's not fit for purpose while taking our hard earned cash. I expected more from such a reputable brand. I was wrong
I put my R10 against a Trackman to confirm indoor swing syndrome.
