I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

The accuracy statement outlined on the Garmin site here Accuracy of Approach R10 Radar outlines the accuracy for radar following standard deviation true for the Approach R10. The algorithm derived metrics…
I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
Same here - on most of my shots on the R10 I am 1-2 clubs short compared to my real golf distances. I believe we are many experiencing this - do we have anyone from Garmin here who can report at ticket…
I just tried to update it too. Not available for me either. Guess we are not the chosen ones. :(
@ Tricep Bro when did u purchase your device?
The update is slowly released to more people throughout the day. You can continue to check Garmin Express for that update.
Not having a lot of luck with the new version. Carry numbers are very similar... Not sure what i am getting wrong. Shot shape accuracy has become better ....
I've had mine for about a month now.
I am around 6.5-7ft from ball to unit and 9 ft from ball to screen. Unfinished basement so I did cover up my cement floor and covered the walls, but the ceiling still has an exposed AC Duct.
Could that mess things up @ Garmin Rob...
Spin rates for both wedges and driver looking much better with this latest update. The Mavrik SZ I'm currently using was giving spin numbers in the 1900-2300 RPM range on well struck shots based on the shop's GCHawk but the R10 was pretty consistently in the 2900-3300RPM range. Now with FW 3.70 well struck drives are right in that 1900-2300 RPM window with only shots struck low on the face getting above 3000 RPM. Definitely the best result I've seen for driver from any launch monitor less than $6K. The shot below is pretty much exactly what I would expect to see based on past GCHawk sessions except that attack angle of +7.8° seems a bit high, I would have expected more like +2-3°.
Wedges also looking much better. Could never seem to get above 4-5K with my 54 degree wedge before even though I'm used to seeing 8-9K with crappy ionomer cover balls on the aboutGolf sims we use for winter league. After upgrading to FW 3.70 the results on a well struck 54 make much more sense.
Great work Garmin and keep pushing forward!
how did u upload images. My screen only gives me the option to type a file/url??
Just updated and distances are still way down.using a net 8 feet from the device. Own android so don't have the calibration options. Would love to know if they work
could u post pics of your set up. Am having similar issues...
