I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
I had the same problem - came across a post on Facebook group where a poster recommended 6ft (1.75m) from unit to ball. Did this and it has resolved the carry distances and they are back where I would expect them to be.
Just got my unit today and wish I had read this. My club yardages are about 20 yards off as well.
Yes very disappointed as I was looking forward to play this winter. Out on the driving rang is pretty close to your golf club. I’m debating to if I should return or keep it. The Rapsoda R-motion is actually better for net hitting then then R10. It give you the right distance. R10 you can’t even play a golf game becuz it not giving you the right distance on your club.
Please respond with a fix Garmin, this is really awful!
I have one of the early replacement units and am now pretty satisfied, even though I am hitting short into a net, because I confirmed with a Trackman that I'm not hitting as hard into the net off a mat as I do when golfing on the course.
Either post photos or video of your setups, or talk to support about it. There is nothing to be accomplished posting here without photos, video, and/or data.
Again, there's 34 pages that have at least one complaint on each one. They know some people's metrics appear short. If you want to get a resolution for yourself, pull some data together and go directly to customer support, or return the unit.
Totally agree I for one trust Garmin to fix any problems. I sent mine back it was one of the first out. They gave me a return label I shipped it. They received it and already shipped me a new one. I have read the new release is better but long irons and woods still short.
Not reading 60-70% of shots I take at the range. This is my second unit. Should I film my 1 hour hitting sessions?
Well, if you're asking. Jorge, mine drops some shots at one range where there's an autoloader, tiered driving stations, and a ton of metal everywhere. The regular bucket and mat range it drops zero shots.
If I were you, I'd share photos of your setup and maybe a video showing what your unit's LED is doing when you take a shot. Or I'd contact support, who will also ask for those things. Failing that, I'd return it and get a PRGR or SC300i. But I wouldn't repeat myself on a discussion forum for weeks.
If you have a club waggle in your pre swing routine it will likely not read the shot. Just an idea.
ok, I normally hit at Brookside (Rose Bowl). I will try to find pics of that setup, but I can tell you this, it's artificial turf mats on concrete base hitting into natural grass (260 yds deep to nylon net) with nylon netting at the right, left, and read sides. Poles I believe are wood. That range is closed for a month, but I am going to try a different range today, and I will take photos and notes. I also bought an alignment base that was custom made for the Garmin that helps square off the unit to target.
