Transparent background not working on Venu X1 custom datafield on map view

It is a datafield to display op the device map view with navigation, I do not want to create an own map view
In the sim there is no way to test it because you cannot load a simulated map in the sim.
On the phisical device you see the map a bit with opacity

Is this on a physical device or in the simulator? Do you have an image of what this looks like? 

Have you tried looking at the MapSample code available in the SDKs Samples folder?

I tried a lot to get is working but it seems that the opacity is always about 50% (CIQ6.0 issue?)

I draw a label and value on the screen,

this succeeds but the background remains black

did you ever made a draw on a transparent background on a map on a venu x1?

this line of code doesn't draw anything, just sets the colors. What do you have before, after that line? What do you draw on? What do you draw on it?
