Major bug: 3rd party watch faces not returning to always-on after notification

I'm using Venu 3. When I am using any 3-rd party watch face downloaded from Connect IQ there is a problem.

When I receive a notification and wait (not click "Dismiss" or back button), then the watch returns to home screen BUT not in always on, low-battery mode. It stays is active mode with seconds hands moving and display bright. It keeps this screen on indefinitely unless I press the Back button - then it again goes nicely to low-battery mode.

It should instead return to home screen in the low-battery mode with display not moving and dim. It works like intended with all native watch faces. The problem is only with downloaded watch faces.

For me this is a major issue because this absolutely drains battery or causes screen burn in.

Does anybody know if there is a fix planned? I assume its not the developers fault as all 3rd party downloaded watch faces (I tried 4-5 different ones from different authors) seem to have the same issue. Seems like a watch firmware bug.

Parents
  • Certainly not an issue of the Connect IQ apps since the firmware controls the transition between low and high power modes. I can remember a similar issue with earlier firmware versions of the Epix2. This got resolved eventually by a firmware update.
