FitContributor Garmin Connect missing Lap data

My app records FIT data for a strength training session and uses addLap() method to differentiate between sets.  The Lap data used to be available to users in Garmin Connect but no longer appears, see red arrow in image below. 

Laps used to appear as can been seen in the second screenshot taken on the 7th April.  This holds a lot of the essential information about the activity.

Why has this happened?  When will this functionality be restored to its previous state?  When will we have a method that specifically starts and stops a set in a strength training session?

    Is this still 'Waiting on Resources' almost three years later?

    The Session data from the fit file shows and the Chart data shows, but the Lap data is missing in GC on all devices I have access to: web and iOS.

    Again, there is still no response from Garmin about this issue.

    I can also confirm that the custom data is in the fit file, which can be seen by using something like https://fitfileviewer.com  I understand that ANT specify strength training exercises specifically in their fit file definition and hence using this as a sub_sport may not work in my case. Therefore I have tried a number of different combinations of sport and sub_sport to see if any of these will enable my custom fields to be displayed as they were before but NONE of these show my custom fields in Garmin Connect.

    This is exceedingly annoying to the users of my app who continually ask me to provide this data for them.  Currently I have 1,848 people who have downloaded my app and all I can tell them is that Garmin has taken away this functionality and is providing me with no information about when or whether it will be returned.

    Is any progress being made on this issue?  It has been in a 'waiting for resources' state for about 12 months now.  Should I report this as a bug?

    I can verify that the poster's issue is seen on my app as well. (It is also a Gym App) and uses AddLap to "add a lap" to signify a set change.

    I have done the upload from the watch -> GC and no session Laps are visible both on Garmin Connect Web as well as GCM IOS.

    I have also verified from the simulator that the AddLap calls are being triggered and the resultant FIT file, once decoded does indeed have the lap trigged inside.

    Thanks for the report. Could you look at this same activity in GCM IOS and/or GCM Android and report back if laps is missing in those locations as well.
