Face it watch faces does not update data from ConnectIQ compliactions

I can add ConnectIQ complications to Face it from the ConnectIQ app, but the Faceit does not continuously update the complication. I'm publishing data from my ConnectIQ publishing service every 5 min but Face it only updates when I apply the face it as the active watch face and not continuously as it should

    It doesn’t update after long tapping the complication, and returning to the watchface. Also doesn’t update from background.

    Essentially, you can only display static information, but then what is the point? You want see something conveniently on your watchface, because it might have changed…

    Perhaps they don’t care because there aren’t enough FaceIt users?

  • yeah, I have a Hotkey to show watchface on "hold back" which is even quicker.
    Still kinda annoying.
    (I used to only use that to show time of day consistently during all activities without having to add a datafield for it to every activity)

    Also, I think I just found a bug: On my FR965, "FaceIt" watchfaces ignore the "always on" display setting and go dark after timeout. Neither the build-In Watchfaces, nor the one ConnectIQ one i am using do that. EDIT: Thats not a BUG, they acknowledge that limitation in the docs:

    Last I tried faceit, leaving the watchface (like going to glances) and returning refreshed the ciq complications.

    It works as it should on my own watchfaces as well as those published by others, so it's very worthwhile, though limited with faceit

  • Interested in an update here too.
    What's the point of spending all that effort creating the complications API, documenting it, having us devs spend time implementing it and then having a bug that basically renders the whole thing useless left unresponded to for years?
