appstore - unable to upload app updates

for 3 weeks now I've been trying to upload updates to (several) apps

the message is shown "Sorry, your message couldn’t be submitted because we’re having trouble communicating with our servers. Please try again later.

It would be helpful to show the actual error message instead of this general "customer-friendly" message...

Maybe it's also cloudflare there preventing updates, or something else that's the problem, who knows....

C'mon guys get your act together and let us update our apps....

  • After looking at a couple of IQ files, they each contain invalid part numbers. One had a system preview device in it, which is not valid to upload to the store. I would suggest deleting your download device configs and redownloading them to ensure they're up to date. Once you've done this, regenerate the IQ file and try uploading again. I'd recommend updating your device configurations prior to generating the IQ files to ensure you have the latest versions.

The device config locations are at:

    • Windows: %APPDATA%/Garmin/ConnectIQ/Devices
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/ConnectIQ/Devices
    • Linux: ~/.Garmin/ConnectIQ/Devices

I'm getting tickets created to have better error messages at upload time as well as prevent the compiler from bundling these preview devices.
