bug: App is not visible in Garmin IQ store (asia?)

Hello All,

I've published couple of apps related to racket sports: https://apps.garmin.com/developer/6a6d6521-4f13-470f-aa51-bc8d4ad0886b/apps

Yesterday I was told one of them (only Tennis AI) is not visible to the user from China (Forerunner 245, FW: 11.60, supported by Tennis AI) when he tries to install it - when he checks through the website everything is visible but cannot download it to his watch (cannot find it in iq store on his mobile).

Today I received same feedback from different user from Thailand who has installed Tennis AI recently, now changed the watch and is unable to install it. Is this any kind of issue related to iq store for asia or something is wrong on my side?

  • I've just realized I've forgot to add english language what caused this issue. Could it be the reason for users to be unable to download it ?

  • Thanks for reply. The issue semms to happen not only for China but also for user from Thailand.

    However what I have notices, but ignored it so far, is that when I recently introduced multilanguage support for my apps the size of their compiled file enlarged except for Tennis AI. For Tennis AI as soon as i add languages to manifest file its compiled size drops (no other changes than in  manifest):

    No idea why it happens (other apps behaved differently) but may it be an issue? If so do you have any idea what can be the reason? thanks

  • I think it takes some time to sync between the com and the cn site. Probably just need to wait for a few hours.

    BTW I haven't tried this for the purpose of the app store, but you can try to check it out yourself by changing the country to China: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/account/profile/

    Maybe it's not enough for the app store (it works to achieve badges that are available in China only)
