I wanted a quick way to check my heart rate without starting an activity, so here it is. I also wanted to see how close I could get it to having it look "native" (at least on the fenix 3, I don't think the other watches have chart widgets like this natively).

Changelog:

1.3.2 - Fix stupid bug in range display
1.3.1 - Longer periods, notify on HRM connect
1.3 - Configurable period and colour, autoscale y axis, port to app
1.2 - Persist data across sessions, compatibility with square watches, visual tweaks
1.1 - Chart that looks like Garmin's
1.0 - Initial version, just numbers, never released

Would you also consider adding a mean HR value (besides min and max)
    Thank you

Can you do also apps with speed and elevation?

Is it difficult to do data field (from this application)? This would be the best graphical data field I've seen so far.

I have a prototype port to a data field running on my watch, I'll post it soon (not sure I'm happy with the layout yet).

I'll probably also make data fields for speed / pace and elevation. I'm not so sure I see the point of apps / widgets for those? Oh, is it only the Fenix 3 that have a native elevation widget? Hmm.

Hi. Thank you for your work
I have and issue: after 2'30" more or less watch goes back to clock face.
Is it a configuration problem of my device or a widget limitation?
    Fénix 3, V3.10

That's a limitation of widgets I think. You can use the app version instead.

THANK YOU for answering request of turning the widget in to an app for vivoactive. Now it can indeed be used and it is BRILLIANT.
    Two requests/suggestions if i may:
1-Is there a way you can extend the monitoring period beyond 60minutes (ie for overnight monitoring). I know it would be hard for the battery but could be v useful for people with heart conditions.
2- i would find useful if when i start the monitoring, a counter could show the elapsed time.
This is particularly useful for the long monitoring times so that you can immediately know for how long you have been monitored.
    THANK YOU

Hmm, I'm kind of wary of going down this road - I don't want the app / widget to have too many bells and whistles. It sounds like what you really want is a custom activity to record heart rate - have you tried that?

    Under consideration :-)

I also do not need apps / widgets but data fields would be nice.

Is there a way to use the footpod speed sensor info for pace field (if the GPS is working)? GPS pace/speed is useless in the forest.

Sadly no, the API just exposes "current speed".

They don't have charts on them, clearly a defect :-)
