Widget: Heart rate chart

I wanted a quick way to check my heart rate without starting an activity, so here it is. I also wanted to see how close I could get it to having it look "native" (at least on the fenix 3, I don't think the other watches have chart widgets like this natively).

1.3.2 - Fix stupid bug in range display
1.3.1 - Longer periods, notify on HRM connect
1.3 - Configurable period and colour, autoscale y axis, port to app
1.2 - Persist data across sessions, compatibility with square watches, visual tweaks
1.1 - Chart that looks like Garmin's

Cool looking. So does this search and pair with your HRM when you access the widget?

yes, it connects to HRM and starts to show the graph.

It's not possible for widgets to do anything unless they are in the foreground I'm afraid, so you're not going to get all-day readings.

At some point I will probably port this this to a data field, so you could create an activity that does nothing but record heart rate and leave that running (of course, you could do that today but without this chart!)

Sadly we also don't get to control how long the watch stays on the widget.

I read somewhere here that Garmin are considering increasing the widget timeout on the vivoactive from 10s to 60s (it's 60s on all the other watches) so maybe that will happen in the future, but I can't control it.

You need latest firmware on the watch, then install the widget. It is widget, not an app, so you just list through to it while in the watch mode.
