I wanted a quick way to check my heart rate without starting an activity, so here it is. I also wanted to see how close I could get it to having it look "native" (at least on the fenix 3, I don't think the other watches have chart widgets like this natively).

Changelog:

1.3.2 - Fix stupid bug in range display
1.3.1 - Longer periods, notify on HRM connect
1.3 - Configurable period and colour, autoscale y axis, port to app
1.2 - Persist data across sessions, compatibility with square watches, visual tweaks
1.1 - Chart that looks like Garmin's
1.0 - Initial version, just numbers, never released

    Is there any possibility to have this custom activity (with HR) running on backround? So I can have watch face on F3 and activity will be running on BG without any datafield display?

    EDIT: I mean custom watch face. I've found that pressing DOWN for while gives me default watch face.
  • Hi,

    I have a found a bug with my fenix3, I am using the latest firmware...

    Please follow the next sequence to reproduce:
    - Start the HR Chart activity;
    - Leave it running for a few seconds;
    - Press the Backlap button to leave the activity;
    - Press the Activity start button again and select HR Chart;
    - Your watch will now reboot...

    Pretty sure it is a stupid little fix, your app is really helpful ! Thanks for the great work!

    PS: (a few minutes later, and after some reboots) : now the situation got even worse, the app won't start anymore... rebooting immediately after selecting to start an HR Chart activity... the app won't start anymore...

    PS2: I was then wondering, isn't the app supposed to shutdown when you press the backlap button? it doesn't seem to be the case...

    PS3: Just tested the Widget version, and as the widget is shutdown when switching to another app, it works fine...

    All this information is absolutely correct - can you please check in the API if there is another exit / shutdown hook which also should be implemented?

    Thank's

    Save HR Data for historical data review

    Do you have plans or the ability to add an option to save the Heart rate data . For example if I set the period for HR tracking to 24 hours.. After the time is up.. Can you give us the option to save the previous 24 hours worth of heart rate data to our Garmin connect app or some other way?

    This would allow me to stop wearing my fitbit charge HR as I only use it for the 24 HR heart rate monitor feature. I do have a wahoo fitness Ticker X however I can only see the data within the wahoo fitness app and this can be annoying:D having so many apps for simple data such as heart rate.

    Here is 1 example of how historical data is useful.

    I love the app and have given it a great rating on the Garmin Connect review page. Thanks again for an amazing app!

    I understand I may not be helping.... But just hear me out.
    Wahoo app - they tout extensive upload support to 3rd party sites. GC is one of them.
    You could wear your wahoo, turn the app, end of the day, stop and upload to GC (but manual tho)

    Thanks NIKEOW

    Thanks .. This is a good work around! I totally forgot about this. I did upload a couple of my workouts using the Wahoo app however I never saw where they were in the Garmin connect app and forgot about it. I will dig deeper to find the workouts. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Time scale

    Hi,
    Is it possible to set the time scale to auto, so it goes, 2 min, then 4 min, then 8 min, etc automatically as a period option?

    into activity

    Is there a way to get the HR-chart into an activity?
    I used to have a similar HR-cart on my polar and miss it while running or biking.
    I mean: I want to have it in one of the datascreens
    Cheers
  • 1.3 - Configurable period and colour, autoscale y axis, port to app

    Is autoscale actually working? On my watch (6.24b fw) there is no option to configure the autoscaling of the y axis, nor does it seem to autoscale y axis over time.

    App abilities

    When setting the app version for monitoring long recorded times (ie. 2 hours +), if i switch screen to view my watch face or a widgets for example, it appears the app stops recording and when i return to view app progress it starts from beginning all over again. Hence difficult to get results for long periods of heart rates without ability to leave screen and return to app. Please advise if this is in fact an issue or am i not using the app correctly. Thanks.

    EDIT: Yes, holding DOWN button and pressing START/STOP button allows to switch back and forth between watch face. duh
  • RhR over night

    Cool looking. So does this search and pair with your HRM when you access the widget?

    I would like to capture lowest resting HR overnight. I set Period to 8 hrs and get a nice chart showing Max HR and something that might be lowest HR for period but too small to read.
    Can lowest HR be recorded with enlarged font?
    Can History be retained?

    thanks;
    ron
