  • Hi I tried that and it changed alright but now says waiting for weather ?

  • It may take 30 minutes for the update to occur. If it's still not ok then check the conditions in faq q1

  • My move rings are filled and it says Move! above them but I've exceeded my steps target by 25% and been active this afternoon. Am I misunderstanding this as would've thought the message would've dropped away??

  • The message occurs after one hour of inactivity.

  • Thanks, should it clear or will that happen at midnight?

  • Actually it starts after 1hr without enough steps.  You can get some steps in that hour but you didn't get enough. Getting up to get a coffee refill probably won't do it in most cases.  It needs to be something like 100 steps to prevent the move bar from showing.  It's the same for any watch face that shows the move bar..

This support article is relevant. Although it's referring to the built-in move bar (which isn't displayed on newer watches) and the built-in move alert, it also applies to Connect IQ apps which display either of those things.

How Does the Move Bar Work on a Garmin Watch?

Garmin provides a motivational move notification on its activity trackers in order to encourage users to stay active throughout the day. This notification can come in the form of a progressive bar referred to as the Move Bar as well as a Move! notification accompanied by a vibration alert. This will occur after one hour of inactivity. The bar found on either the watch face or steps widget builds in length the longer you are inactive. The first bar equals one hour of inactivity. Each additional bar equals 15 minutes of inactivity.

By walking you can reverse this trend. After walking continuously for a few minutes the bar will reset and disappear from the screen. A full inactivity meter can take up to 200 continuous steps to reset completely.

  • Could someone please explain the goal colour meanings. I know the blue one is for steps and o think the orange one is for intensity minutes. There is a multicoloured one, what is it for? And is there any others?
