Temps - Widget to show internal temperature as well as data from a Tempe!

It's only for devices that allow Connect IQ to access the internal temperature history. With the Tempe, it can take a minute or more to get data, so that data is cached, so you can see the last reading while waiting (the default is after 30 minutes, it goes "stale", but can be set between 0 (never go state) to 240 minutes (4 hours). App settings also allows setting colors. The "Temperature Units" in the watch settings is used for C/F.

Yes, this was a change on newer devices. (not the widget)

It can take a minute for the Tempe to connect, and at that time the widget will show the Tempe data, but while it's trying, you see the internal device temperature.

So I guess with current firmware on newer devices there’s no way to somehow show dashes or something (instead of internal) until Tempe data is received (under Tempe field)?

It's something I'd like to do, but so far haven't found a good way to do it.

I don't have an external Tempe, but the right hand field updates every second (I set the timeout to 1 in the config).

However the left field doesn't seem to update.

I was expecting to get the left field updating every second and a null right field?

If possible also show the guestimated temperature the watch thinks it is for time of day from the garmin forecast download?

Is that even possible? I mean the watch must have such a number, current forecast temperature estimated, because it uses that number for the firstbeat "temperature acclimation" (heat adaptation) metrics.

Note the relatively dumb garmin temperature app also shows the highest and lowest seen temps, not sure if that's a feature you'd add because it would require shuffling screen layout but maybe an additional screen if the start button is pushed, etc.

adding: apparently it is possible to look at the garmin stored forecast as well because this app "mTempe" does it

There are lots of watch faces that will show thew current garmin temperature, and where I live, that can be off by 10F. plus it only seems to update every hour.

right, I actually 100% agree with that problem existing

I'm actually arguing that very point that the Heat Acclimation feature done in firstbeat metrics on newer Garmin devices should actually allow the Tempe to be used instead of the forecast temp which is wildly inaccurate

Wanted them all on one screen to show how wildly wrong the forecast prediction can be, which is why I asked for the feature but looks like at least that other app does it for now.
