WatchApp: Moxy App

Please post comments, problems, questions, and feature requests on the Moxy ConnectIQ App in this thread.
  • Can't seem to get app to watch. It says it's downloaded...but where?
  • Do you have the version 3.07 of the watch firmware downloaded?

Once you've got that installed, the Moxy App should show up under IQ Apps in the Activities List.
  • Hi, am a MOXY user but do not yet own one of the connectIQ compatible devices; trying to decide whether to buy now or wait for next generation of EDGE cycling computers. The screenshot of the graph looks promising.

    Questions:
How does the data field work with multiple MOXYs? Should I use multiple MOXY data fields separately assigned to each? Can I display multiple graphical fields at once? Can I show SmO2 of multiple MOXYs in the same data field (maybe in different colors), which could be more useful for comparing those SmO2 values?

In the graph, I would want to have at least power displayed against the same horizontal time axis, is that possible using some graphical power data field or could that be added to an update of this data field?

How does this look on a round display device?

    1) The App does not yet work with multiple Moxys at the same time. This is a ConnectIQ limitation. I have a feature request in to allow multiple simultaneous generic ANT sensors, but I don't have a timeline for when Garmin will make that available.
    2) I can look at adding power, but at this point we would probably need to give up one line (ie can't do SmO2, THb, and Power) because the watch already gets sluggish with 5 minutes of data being graphed. Plus that would be a lot to look at on a small screen. I'll start looking at options. Just FYI, the power data doesn't show on the 920 watch yet. It's a bug that Garmin is working on.
    3) The numbers get clipped on a round display so I didn't publish this for the Fenix3 yet. I will look at making a layout designed for Fenix3.
  • Version 0.1.18 is going up today. This fixes a bug where the GPS was not being enabled in the app on the 920 watch.

  • hi
    please:
    1) I want to see the version of the MOXY APP in my fr920xt, to know exactly which version I have (Garmin Connect & Garmin Express sometimes fail)
    2) the name of the MOXY APP that I have to see in the fr920xt is: MCycAPP?
    3) In MOXY APP (in the PC) in "ANT+ profiles" I select the first option: "Muscle Oxigen MO2". That´s correct???

    thx from blog zitaSport: http://blog.zitasport.com/

    then, 30 minutes later...
definitely not work in MOXY APP in Garmin IQ
    like HR: YES
like S&C: YES, certainly, why value of "7" in speed and "81" in cadence?... I mean , why 2 different values?
    like MO2: Noooo!!! aghhh... why?

    thx again
  • 1) The version is shown in the Menu under About. To see the version, Press and Hold the menu button (3 dots symbol) until the menu appears. Then scroll to the About menu item and select it with the enter button. That will show the app version.

    2) Yes MCycApp is the correct name.

    3) Yes, your Moxy needs to be set to Muscle Oxygen MO2 in the Moxy PC App. It uses proximity pairing when it pairs to the watch for the first time so you need to have the sensor within about 10 cm of the watch when you pair it. The Pairing option is in the Menu under Settings, then Pair MO2 Sensor. All other sensors (HR, S&C, Power) are paired to the watch outside of the Moxy App using the native watch menu just like you would pair them for any other activity.
  • thx!!!

    1) done, perfect...
    2) thx for the confirmation
    3) oh my god!!! inside the MOXY APP!!!!!... It´s not intuitive. It´s necessary instructions or someone like you!!!!

    thx again!!!
  • AGGGHHHHH

but i can´t see the values in Garmin Connect!!!!

if i export the session to .TCX, .GPX or .CSV i dont´t found the SmO2 and THb

    any ideas?
  • I share your AGGGHHHHH.

ConnectIQ does not yet allow Generic ANT data to be stored on the watch. The temporary work around is to get the .FIT file from the watch, and download the .FIT file from the Moxy sensor (using the Moxy PC App) and then merge the FIT files. Right now, the only merging option I know of is in Golden Cheetah but we will be releasing a merging option inside the Moxy PC App soon.
