HR Runner, Pace Runner & HR Cycler

I created a few data fields for myself.

Mainly I wanted to use color to see at a glance what HR/Pace Zone I'm running/cycling in, and to give me an indication of estimated hrTSS since my training plan is on Training Peaks and TSS/ATL/CTL etc. is a part of what my running coach uses to guide my triaining.

If anyone else is using one of them, you can let me know here if you encounter any issues.
  • New version (latest version available on 05 september, v4.8.0) crashes after a while during a running session.
    And where is TRIMP on settings, i can't find it on this version....?
    Tested on Fenix 5. Previous version was working. Any idea? Great app

    Latest version 4.8.0 no long works during workout mode again. FR935 on 10.10. Love the app, didn't realize how much it became my go-to screen during runs.

    Update: the Zone Runner iQ field loads with workout at first, before I start the timer but quits a short while after starting. Before I start the workout the field are responsive, I get pace and HR. Maybe errors out with the first pace alert to pop up on the screen, that timing makes the most sense from when I saw it working to when I got just the iQ logo.

    Latest version of Zone Runner stopps working and shows iQ screen after a few minutes of running session.
    Uninstall and re-install didn't fix the issue.
    I'm using ForeAthelete 9.70 which is localized version of FR935 in Japan, and 9.70 is the latest firmware.

    Thanks for quick bug fix on 4.8.0-upd1 for Zone Runner, and it seemed to be working fine for short time period.
    However, for longer workout around 1 hour, it fails to iQ screen.
    Tested twice for long workout and showed the same error log as below.

    After updated to 4.8.2-upd2, the issue has been fixed. Thank you very much!

    Hi, I just wanted to tell you that this is by far the best data field I've tried.

    could you please add to the summary of the activity the relative running economy and intensity factor please ?
    This would make much easier comparing 2 different activities.

  • Hey,
    I think your rTSS calculation is wrong. But the calculation from this site: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/blog/r...tss-explained/
    is also not the same that trainingpeaks uses on its site.

    I think you are using exactly the formula from the site.
    But when you plan a training in trainingpeaks and you plan one hour with your threshold pace, the formula would calculate 100TSS. If you plan a swim or bike training with one hour and IF 1.0 it results correctly in 100TSS.
    But trainingpeaks results in 111rTSS.
    The only way to reproduce the values that trainingpeaks calculates, is to divide the FTP in the formula by 1.11.
    Example:
    FTP = 15km/h
    NGP = 15km/h
    IF = 1.0
    s = 3600 (1hr)

    (s * NGP * IF) / (3600 * (FTP/1.11)) * 100 = rTSS (real rTSS in trainingpeaks)

    (3600 * 15 * 1.0) / (3600 * (15 / 1.11)) * 100 = 111
    (3600 * 12 * 0.8) / (3600 * (15 / 1.11)) * 100 = ~71

    These are exactly example values from my trainingpeaks.

    I think the given formula from trainingpeaks is wrong at all. At least in front of the trainingpeaks calculation.
    I already opened a ticket in trainingpeaks.
    I don't understand why only the rTSS calculation is different to all other (sTSS, TSS). I always read on trainingpeaks, one hour on IF 1.0 (Threshold pace, power, heartrate whatever) should result in 100TSS. But only rTSS results in 111.

    Do you know something about these calculations?

    edit: and how do you calculate NGP? I couldn't find a formula anywhere.
