Data Field: DRNG

  • vertical labels are used, when your Device supports the function drawAngledText().

  • Hello, I have a question about a function in the data field. I want to know how to set the colors for the "average pace" data field to reference the current deviation from the average pace so far. I don't quite understand which options need to be modified in the app to select this or the coloring based on a "set pace."

    Thanks!

  • Hi NosGer, you're right, the "AvgPace" doesn't make sense in terms of color, because the pace fields are all compared with the AvgPace of the activity and the size of the difference is shown in color. I'm considering adding a new field (fixed AvgPace) that does this job. Similar to the PowerZones. It's on the TODO list.

  • Switching from DRNG10 to DRNG25:

    • Due to the deletion and reinitialization of the settings, I decided to leave DRNG10 as it is and publish an identical data field under the new name DRNG25.
    • Due to the memory requirements for current and future extensions in DRNG25, only devices with API level 5.1.0 - System 8 (which offer the "extendedCode" technology) are supported.
    • Future updates, enhancements, devices will only be applied to DRNG25.
    • The "Extended Version" code for DRNG10 also works on all variants of DRNG25.
  • Hi dear,

Is there a way to connect Stryd only via ant+?
I use a Fenix 7x pro, Stryd data field and your DRNG.

to make it works, seems I have to connect Stryd using BT, while I would only connect it by ant+.

actually I have set ant id in your data field and connect stryd to the Garmin via BT

    Thank you

  • DRNG doesn't use BT direct. Have you tried this:

Howto use Power direct from Stryd:

    • ANT+ ID entered in DRNG
    • Stryd only connected as foot pod, power meter disconnected
    • Running power set to Off in the activity settings
    • If you also want native Garmin Running power, you can try PowerMeter automatically connected via Bluetooth.
    • When starting, always make sure that there are no red corners displayed at the bottom, left and right of the battery field. This means that there is no connection to the Stryd. When there are no red corners, DRNG has a ANT-Connection to Stryd.

  • Thank you

You know the Stryd data field is required to save for Stryd.

To do so, I have to connect Stryd to my Fenix 7x Pro not only as foot pod, but also as power meter.

And I do prefer to connect it via ANT+.

The problem is that, if I connect the Stryd via ANT+ to permit to register for Stryd, and I also connect your DRNG via ANT ID #, then in your datafield I can't see the power. Just " -- "

The only way to save for Stryd and also to use your Datafield, is to connect stryd as powermeter via Bluetooth only.

    That's exactly what I doesn't want.

I can assure, in the past, with previous Garmin software version, I could connect both DRNG datafield and stryd datafield  to  my stryd device ONLY via Ant+.

    Now it doesn't work anymore.

    Moreover:

in Garmin Connect IQ, in DRNG datafield settings it is said:

"Powermeter ANT-ID (Stryd or Footpod). If it is set, CP will be read directly from the Stryd"

To me, I understand if I don't set ANT-ID stryd ID, then your DRNG will read from my watch instead that directly from the Stryd. But if I don't put the ANT ID number, then your datafield shows " --  " in the power field. So it seeme I have no choice but to put the ANT ID number at all.

  • Hello: Are any of the Stamina fields supported? I do not see them listed, but they are available for the non-IQ data screens. FR955
