Stenninger. Great App!! Is there any plan to make the app use wifi direct from the garmin? I am using an edge 820. This would be awesome for my use case where i only want to the garage door when in wifi range. Iphone seems to take a while to find the wifi in standby mode. if I power on the phone, it instantly connects to wifi then i can use your widget. little annoying that i need to reach to my phone every time to use the widget.

    Thoughts?.

    Hello

Is it possible to send a header too with authorization bearer token?
If not is it possible to make a widget that can?

    Thanks!

In the Garmin IQ app, when trying to set a URL, there is an error message that reads "Only letters and numbers are allowed" which doesn't make sense for a URL. It won't allow me to save the URL when this error is present so I cannot change the URL from the Garmin IQ app. I have not recently tried to change the URL using the USB cable and Garmin express. Is this a new thing in the Garmin IQ app?

  • Hi
I really enjoy IoTClient widget on my F5X+ :-) Do you planned to make it available for the new Fenix 6 series ? Thanks

It was working perfectly well, but since a couple of days I get "Failed:-1001", I understand it means "SECURE_CONNECTION_REQUIRED = -1001", is there any change Garmin introduced it might affect ?

It works using directly inserting the request on a web browser but not on the IOTClient anymore?

    any clues?

    thanks,

    carles.

PS: any chance you publish the code on github?

  • This is a bug of GCM... Need to use Garmin Express on your PC :-(

  • Same issue with -300 error code (timeout whereas the error is immediate). It was working fine a couple of week. The workaround : a "proxy" request via IFTTT Webhooks (the https request to IFTTT works well...). I think this a Garmin bug, because I experienced the same pb with APICall widget :-(

  • See https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/i/bug-reports/connect-version-4-20-broke-local-http-access

Unless you are using localhost on your phone, you have to use https (at least with an Android phone).  You'll get this error if you use http.

Not a bug.  This is how things now work.

Thanks for this tremendously useful widget. Any plans to make it available for the new Venu?

    Thanks

  • IoTClient is fantastic - I find it really useful thanks.

Until this week! - Now  it has stopped working on my 1030+ since the latest update version 6.73. :-(

The widget display scrolls to where it should be displayed but the display stays on the previous widget!

I hope you can fix this. :-)
