Monkey C, Garmin, Connect IQ, BLE scaning

There are two samples in the SDK for the NordicThingy52.

While I don't publish source for this app, if you take the NordicThingy52 sample, and change "contains" in the BLE Delegate to always return true, you can see all devices found while scanning.

Hi Jim, allot of reading about BLE.... already seen this App, but i only have the simulator from IQ, im working on Eclipse in Monkey C.....

I have a beacon Estimote, but i only need to read RSSI, but looking at the API from Garmin im very confused... is alot for me

Already try to find a way to put this app on simulator..... but i think is not possible

I've been using the sim with BLE for years.

Without the Nordic HW, you can only test with sideloads.

I have a dongle from Asus, that can read bluetooth 5.0.... can i work with it ?

Can you teel me wath is "test with sideloads" ?

Can you flash the nordic hex file to it?  Then, can you configure it in the sim? (Settings>BLE Settings in the sim
