IN CONCLUSION!

I am an independent software developer. I'm also a dedicated runner, passionate about my health/fitness and been an owner of many Garmin devices over the years (305, 310, 910, vivofit to name a few). If you like BigTime and want to find out more please visit www.boiledsweets.com/garnin.

Now go, go run...

Thanks! :)
  • The problem with everything being white like that is that it starts to look too busy and your eye isn't drawn to the few fields that are more glance important. For example 66% battery life is nice to know so love having it but if you're just taking a quick glance at the watch you generally wouldn't care about the specific number as the bar gives a good generally idea of how much power is left. If you really want to know the exact power left then you can spend the time to look at something that doesn't stick out as much. In my mind the time, date, and current step count should be the only things that are white as those are the only fields you want glance access to.
  • Please see above - I've just updated again!
You might think the step count is important but others might think the distance is important so have to find a common ground...
  • I'm not saying not important, just not something you need very quick access to. The S in the top left above is "COLOR_LT_GRAY" right? So how about the miles, calories, "/5000 st" being in light gray to? Would still be easy to read, but gives priority to the reading so the screen is less busy looking. Thanks
  • They are all LT_GRAY, see above...

In fact maybe it would be better in the actual value part was white but the text part LT_GRAY so the data part stands out.
  • Sorry, guess its hard to tell with a screenshot since my monitor doesn't really look the same as my watch. I'd agree with data being white
  • v0.10 is out! :-) See initial thread post for details.
  • I think nothing about your WatchFace, this is great work!

    But I noticed the following:
Connected to the USB craddle the watch says 100%, but after removing the WatchFace reads <100% (97% in my case).
Leaving the watch inside the craddle the percentage still seems to rise. Will wait until also the WatchFace reads 100%
  • Thanks for your feedback. I can only presume that it's a bug with the Garmin firmware as all I do it display the state of the battery level. Does it do the same with a native Garmin app? If so then could you pls raise this with Garmin? Thank you.
  • Hello RUPERTHAWKES,

is there a special reason for the size of the battery bar graph?
For me it seems to be a bit too big, maybe I'm the only one and others like the size.

Here I tried to "photoshop" a comparison

Maybe some other users of your brilliant WachtFace chime in here.

    Many thanks,

    Daniel
  • Yes, I think a smaller battery is more consistent. Will change it.
