FEATURES

Time (12/24 hour), multi-format date, day of week, seconds. Battery indicator, bluetooth/vibrate/tone/alarm/sleep/notifications/activity icons(see see secreen shot) , distance (KM/mile), kilo calories/joules, steps taken/steps goal, steps progress bar and movement reminder bar! Highly configurable through user customisation (via the Garmin app)!

Before you report bugs please check you are on the latest version of the firmware and GPS. NB: The only way to get latest GPS is to update via usb and a computer.

    Hi,

    there are reasons why I have to do it this way.

    Due the differences of the fonts available across all the devices I've had to use custom fonts to make sure BigTime looks consistent across devices. Fonts take up a fair amount of resources and need three of them. One for the time, one for the values and one for the labels.

    As the distance and steps were overlapping when the number got large I had to find a solution. Removing the distance won't work as some people want it. Making the font smaller for the steps would make it look odd and some people won't like it. The only sensible option I could come up with was to abbreviate the value.

    The look of the font may have changed slighty, you can blame Garmin for that as they changed the way the fonts are read and displayed so had to redo all the fonts.

    I cannot satisfy everyone, I change one thing and someone somewhere won't like it. If you can come up with a better solution then please let me know but not showing the dstance or making the font smaller is not it. Sorry.

    Such a shame

    Sorry you cannot please everyone, but I wonder how many people are actually pleased by the change to an abbreviated step count?? Have you received any positive comments from people who prefer it that way.

    For me, aside from the time/date, the number one thing I want to see on my vivoactive is my current daily step count. Everything else is secondary to that.

    I still don't understand the reason for making this change when everything seemed to display perfectly before. In what way is the new version of Big Time better??

    After much hunting I have found another, good looking watch face that displays most of the content I want, including the full step count. Unfortunately it lacks all the nice icons at the top of Big Time, but I'll have to live without those for now.

    Solution idea

    Here's an idea for a solution : don't display the step goal, or give an option to disable this?
    Not displaying the goal would give much more room for displaying the full, unabbreviated step count.

    And since I already know my daily goal of 12,000, I don't need a constant reminder of it.

    I think this will work, with a slight tweak.

    I add option to disable the step goal PLUS add an option to abbreviate the counts if > 10k. That way all user's will be happy. OK?

    Really like the new update - it's restored the functionality I like and looks great.
    Nice to be back with Big Time after a few weeks with another watch face.

    Localizes name of the day?

    Hi,

    I like this watch face a lot!
    A question, is it possible to have the day of the week presented in local language according to the system setings?
    I would like to have it in Swedish :-). Meaning that for example Fri would show Fre.

    Line left of the time??

    I have really enjoyed the Bigtime watch face but wondering what the vertical white line to the left of the time? It's really bugging me and want it gone but not sure what it is?? Wasn't there yesterday when I set it up?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!
